Android Market Surpases Apple’s App Store In Number Of Free Apps, Fanboys Shear In Disbelief

See the graph above? Shocked? Well it’s true. The Apple app store has been the king of apps for a long time but the Android Market is quickly catching up, it hit a huge recently by beating the Apple App Store in the total number of free apps available. Apple has 121,000 apps available for free while the Android Market has a shocking 134,000 apps available for free. Apple is still the king of total number of apps available (with a total of 367,000 apps) for a platform though but something tells me Apple’s days on the throne is very limited.
