A few weeks back, we reported a rumour that had surfaced due to a Square Enix registered website that was taken offline. That website claimed that Final Fantasy VII would be heading to Steam with Achievements, Cloud Saves and Stat Boosters.

This rumour is no more as it the arrival of Final Fantasy VII, one of the most beloved JRPGs, on PC has been confirmed. As featured in the cached website as well as the official website, the game comes with 36 achievements that you can share with your friends, cloud saves and a character booster that lets you increase your HP, MP and Gil.

The system requirements mentioned on the site are: Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7 (32/64-bit) • 2GHz Processor or faster • 1GB RAM • DirectX 9-compatible graphic card.

It is also now clear that this is not an HD remake as many fans speculated, but a re-release. No release date has been announced. The website simply says “Coming Soon”.
