Namco Bandai’s latest Tales title is all set to showcase its new trailer tomorrow at Summer Vacation Talk Event, but thanks to the world of the ‘interwebz’, christmas came a day early for fans as the video arrived online early.

The video showcases different characters and their abilities. The game introduces a new battle system called Cross Double Raid Linear Motion Battle System or XDR-LMBS for short. This battle system is a variant of its predecessor’s battle system known as Dual Raid Linear Motion Battle System or DR-LMBS. Party members will possess special abilities in the battle, such as Ludger’s Weapon Shift, where he can cycle between swords, guns and a hammer during the battle.

The game also introduces a new choice system where players are allowed to choose between two courses of action in the game by pressing the “L1″ or R1″ button on the Dualshock 3. The outcome of these choices can vary from simply having a different dialogue during a cutscene or choosing between fighting an enemy or retreating.

The announcement of Tales Of Xillia sequel came as a surprise for us seeing how its predecessor didn’t even have a Western release date which was speculated to be announced at E3. However the news came a month late when Hideo Baba, Series Producer, on July 6, 2012 at Japan Expo held in Paris confirmed that Tales Of Xillia will be coming to North American and European territories some time in 2013.

Tales Of Xillia 2 was officially unveiled at the 2012 Tales Of Festival, held on June 2, 2012 and is set to be released in Japan in the winter of 2012.
