We have reported several times about the upcoming 32GB model of Nexus 7 which has prematurely appeared on several websites. Now a new leak has emerged related to 8GB Nexus 7 as reported by AndroidPolice. According to a leaked internal document, Staples that is the one of the largest Nexus 7 retailer will begin clearance sale for the 8GB Nexus 7 from 30th October this year.

The October 30th clearance sale for the 8GB model of Nexus 7 falls in line with the rumored announcement of 32GB Nexus 7 model that Google is expected to reveal during its October 29th Android event along with the Nexus 4 smartphone by LG. This means that Google will discontinue the 8GB model of Google Nexus 7 and continue selling the 16GB model.

Google to discontinue 8GB Nexus 7 and replace it with 16GB model in the coming days?

Discontinuation of the 8GB Nexus 7 model and replacing it with 16GB model makes a lot more sense than discontinuing the 16GB model as it was rumored previously. Now it would be interesting to see if Google would also sell the 16GB model at the affordable price of $199 just like it did for the 8GB model or will decide to slash its price a little but avoid the under $200 mark, which has been one of the most important marketing strategy for Google in selling Nexus 7.

What do yo think? Will Google discontinue the 8GB Nexus model and sell the 16GB model for $199? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
