The Apple event is only a few days away and the leaks just won’t stop coming in. Apart from the much hyped iPad mini, another product that will see light of day is the 13 inch Retina MacBook Pro. Though we know a decent amount about this laptop, the looks and the chassis remains a mystery. That is until now. These pictures and some information on the hardware have been leaked on this forum.
The 13 inch Retina MacBook Pro will come with 2 Thunderbolt ports like its 15 inch variant. There’s a screenshot that is taken using Windows OS and it confirms a screen resolution of 2560 x 1600. An HDMI port is also on board which again is like the 15 inch Retina version. There’s no HDMI port on any non-Retina MacBook. The chassis looks like it’s thinner than the current 13 inch version. Whether it will come with an optical drive still remains a question though it won’t be surprising if it wont. An SSD is also onboard.
What will be most interesting to see is whether Apple goes with a dedicated GPU or a built in Intel based version. The event is scheduled for 23rd October so all questions will be answered by then.
