Just like Nexus 4 Google has officially announced the new Nexus 10 tablet without an official event. Nexus 10 is undoubtedly the best Android tablet ever produced and with its powerful processing abilities, gorgeous display, good design, and comparatively low price it is certainly going to give a tough competition to Apple’s iPad.
Nexus 10 is manufactured by Samsung but is designed by Google. It is the flagship Google tablet that will act as a benchmark for other Android tablet makers. Nexus 10 runs Android 4.2 and is powered by a dual-core ARM Cortex-A15 processor and quad-core Mali T604 GPU. It has 2GB of RAM and comes in 16 and 32GB models. The most important and notable aspect of this new Google tablet is its gorgeous screen. Nexus 10 sports a 10-inch display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 2, that has a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels with 300ppi. For comparison its biggest rival and number one tablet of the market, iPad has a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels. The high resolution screen gives sharp text, richer colors for photos and videos, and better viewing angles.
Nexus 10 has a 5-megapixel camera on its back and a 1.9-megapixel camera on the front. It has a 9,000mAh battery that provides 9 hours of HD video play. The overall weight of the device is 604 grams. Other features of Nexus 10 include dual speakers, microUSB ports, wi-fi, two NFC chips, micro HDMI port, bluetooth and more. Nexus 10 comes in Wi-Fi version only and there’s no cellular model.
Nexus 10 will be available for purchase on November 13th in US, UK, Australia, France, Germany, Spain and Canada. It will cost $399 for 16GB model and $499 for 32GB model.
