Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 introduced a ton of new stuff this year including a brand new way to get weapon camos. Every weapon class has a different way to earn weapon camos, like for the SMG, Assault Rifles and LMGs you have to get headshots while with the Snipers you have to get One Shot Kills. This article will provide you tips to get the camos faster.
Getting easy headshots
If you plan on letting the headshot challenges complete by themselves then it will take you quite some time to get the first set of weapon camos. What I would recommend is that you go for them from the start if you really want the weapon camos. Now getting headshots isn’t easy, but follow what I do to make the process easier.
Put on Ghost and try flanking your opponent. If they don’t know where you are then its much easier to get the first shot on target. Now if you do get the first shot on target, aim for the head and hopefully if your gun skills aren’t too bad you’ll come out victorious.
Put on a Laser Sight and run around hipfiring the enemies. The trick to this is that you should aim a bit higher than the center mass, the shots will climb and you will get a headshot. This works really good with SMGs.
With these two tips you should be able to get 10-15 headshots in a standard Domination match.
Getting the no attachment and no perk camos
Getting the no attachment and no perk challenges is really easy, they unlock after you get all the headshot related weapon camos. What you want to do is go in to a Free-for-all match completely raw. By completely raw I mean take no equipment on your weapon and no perks, instead of doing them separately, do them together. Spend the rest of your points on primary and tactical equipment. Now if you’re good and able to win free for all matches then expect to get 30 kills toward the weapons camos in each match, if you use non-lethal kill streaks.
Getting easy one shot kills
These are for your for some of the Snipers and Shotguns. To get easy One Hit Kills on Snipers, you need to know how powerful your gun is. You need to know which spots on the body have shot multipliers allowing you do higher damage to your opponent. The Balista and XPR-50 will get One Shot Kills if you are able to hit your opponent in the Chest and up. The DSR 50 is a bit stronger and will do One Hit Kills above the Waist. The weakest Sniper Rifle – the SVU-AS which I consider the Dragunov of Black Ops 2 can only get One Hit Kills via headshots although I’m pretty sure the weapon camo requirements for it are different.
For Shotguns you need to have attachments like the Long Barrel and Laser Sight to increase your effective One Hit Kill potential. The Long Barrel increases range on your Shotgun while the Laser Sight tightens up the hip spread acting as a sort of Steady Aim. And you should always try to ADS (Aim Down Sight) with the Shotguns, as unlike other Call of Duty Games – Black Ops 2 makes the Shotguns more accurate this way allowing you to get more shots on target.
