Apple retail employees get free Apps as holiday perk

Apple is known primarily for its popular hardware lineup. This includes the iPhone, iPad, iPod and the Mac lineup. Thorough out the last decade they have churned out quality products that have propelled them on top of the food chain. It’s easy to assume that the best part of Apple is their hardware division. But something that a lot of people are not aware of is that Apple has the best retail store setup in the world. Many have tried to replicate the success but failed. And with retail stores, retail employees form the heart and blood of customer relations.

Apple has decided to add a small perk to the existing pays of retail employees. The perk is called App Discovery and in it Apple retail employees will have free access to a catalogue of popular paid App Store applications. They will be able to use an Apple provided redemption code in order to purchase paid apps and games.

The program is currently only for the App Store, which is iOS exclusive, and not for the Mac App Store. It’s not a big payout or a bonus, but still a nice gesture none the less by Apple.
