Sony has invested a whooping 20 million dollars on development of PlayStation Network’s Exclusive games. The plan was first revealed at Game Developers Conference back in 2009. It will give developers additional budget to work on exclusive titles.
Burn Zombie Burn! was the first game out of this plan, with new titles already in the pipeline such as Eufloria, Okabu, and Papo & Yo. This plan has grabbed the attention of many independent developers.
“PlayStation Network is poised to deliver an enviable line-up of exclusive and imaginative games this year, with highly anticipated first-party titles like thatgamecompany’s Journey and PixelJunk Sidescroller.”
“We’re doubling down on PlayStation Network software, and under this additional investment over the next three years, we anticipate a steady flow of high-quality titles that can’t be found anywhere else,” Brendon Stander, director of PlayStation Network marketing at Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA), commented.
