It was outed by court documents from an Activision court case that Bungie is developing four new “sci-fantasy, action shooter games” code-named “Destiny” via LA Times. The first destiny game is set to come out in the fall of 2013 on the Xbox 360, as well as the console’s successor, which has not been announced yet but is referred to in the contract as the Xbox 720. The sequels to the game will be coming out in 2015, 2017 and 2019, if all goes well. Bungie has also agreed to create four downloadable expansions, collectively known as “Comet”, which will be released in the fall of 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020.
The first destiny game will also be coming to the PS3, after a “joint technical feasibility analysis” that will determine whether the game “is able to be developed for the PS3 at quality and feature parity to the Xbox 360 version.”
The “Comet” expansions will be compatible with the Xbox 360, Xbox 720 and Sony Playstation 4. A PC release has also been mentioned, but no further details were provided.

Some other details about Bungie’s contract were also revealed. For example, Bungie will receive a $2.5 million bonus if the first Destiny receives an aggregate score of 90 or better on GameRankings.com.
It should be noted that this contract had been signed in 2010, and some details may have been changed. Rumors of a “Destiny” game started originating in February 2011, and reports suggested that it would be a first-person MMO, code-named “Tiger”.
For now “Destiny” is just a code-name. Lets see what Bungie comes up with.
