One of the things I love about the Macs is the MagSafe charger. My wordspace is very cluttered with wires everywhere and I tend to trip on them quite often. The MagSafe charger attaches to your device magnetically and pulls out with minimal effort, so whenever you trip on them the cord pops out of the charger port instead of dragging your expensive Mac with it. The technology is to be finally coming over the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
In a recent patent acquired by Apple they described the MagSafe technology coming over to the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Apple describes the the new method of charging your iDevice as follows:
Apple has been granted a patent for the assembly of a unit supporting MagSafe into an iOS device like an iPad as noted in patent FIG. 7 below. The patent states that (âIn one particular embodiment, the connector may be a power connector such as the MagSafe.â)
