  • Black Ops 2 Uprising DLC Announced For May 16th Release On PC And PS3

    Activision announced today that the Black Ops 2 Uprising DLC pack will be released on PS3 and PC on May 16th for $15 which is exactly a month after it came out on the Xbox 360 (Via Gearnuke).

    Microsoft has an timed exclusivity deal with Activision for all Call of Duty DLC so the Xbox 360 gets the DLCs a month in advance, the Uprising pack was released on the Xbox 360 on April 16th.

    The Black Ops 2 Uprising DLC pack contains four brand new multiplayer maps and a brand new Zombies mode named Mob of the Dead. The mutliplayer maps are Studio which is a remake of the much loved Firing Range from the original Black Ops 2, Magma which takes place in a lava ridden town somewhere in Japan, Vertigo which takes place on the top of a building in India and Encore which takes place in London at an outdoor concert park.

    The Mob of the Dead mode puts players in the shoes of Billy Handsome (Liotta), Al “The Weasel” Arlington (Pantoliano), Salvatore “Sal” DeLuca (Palminteri) or Michael “Finn” O’Leary (Madsen) as they to escape Alcatraz Island’s infamous prison filled to the brim with zombies.

  • Call Of Duty Ghosts Box Art And Release Date Leaked

    It seems the Call of Duty 2013 title will be called Call of Duty Ghosts according to recent leaks. Today’s leaks are of the game’s box art and release date.

    The box art got leaked via a listing on Tesco Direct‘s website, the listing has now been taken down but IGN managed to take screenshots.

    If the box arts are legit then we can confirm that Call of Duty Ghosts will be coming out on both PS3 and Xbox 360. Call of Duty Black Ops 2 was released on the PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U so additional platforms could be announced. The character on the box art is wearing a balaclava similar to the one worn by Ghost in Modern Warfare 2 so there’s a slight chance the game could be a prequel since the character died during MW2.

    The other leak is from a Target ad (pictured above, click to enlarge) which lists the game’s release date as the 5th of November 2013 which is pretty close to the release date of previous Call of Duty games.

  • T-Mobile Announces That It Will Carry The iPhone 5 For $99.99 Down

    Just as the rumors suggested, T-Mobile just announced at their ‘Uncarrier’ event today that they’ll finally start carrying the Apple iPhone 5. The T-Mobile iPhone 5 will be sold for $99.99 plus $20 per month payments for two years.

    Pre-orders for T-Mobile’s iPhone 5 start 5th of April on T-Mobile’s website.

    For those weak at counting, T-Mobile’s iPhone 5 will cost $579 compared to $649 that it costs at retail. Although this is some major savings it should be noted that the T-Mobile iPhone 5 will be locked to the network until the contract is paid off.

    T-Mobile will also be selling the iPhone 4S for $69.99 down and $20 2 year payments and also the iPhone 4 at $14.99 down with 24 $15 payments.

  • First Look At The Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance E3 Demo

    The Platinum Games and Kojima Pro teams have been working hard at preparing a working demo in time for E3 for their upcoming hack and slasher – Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Hideo Kojima posted three images on his Twitter today saying “Checking RISING’s demo. Title screen had been fixed. Cool Black Raiden!” Check them out below.

  • Sony Xperia Z PACman Android 4.2.2 Custom ROM Installation Guide

    The Sony Xperia Z is great smartphone, maybe even the best from Sony. Along with great hardware the Xperia Z has great software and ROM support with ROMs like PACman Android 4.2.2 being available for it.

    The PACman Android 4.2.2 custom ROM combines the best features from Cyanogenmod, Paranoid Android and AOKP making it one of the best ROMs available for the Sony Xperia Z.

    Although the PACman Android 4.2.2 custom ROM is stable and ready for daily use, the developer has noted that some devices have faced a “Baseband Unknown” error which can be fixed easy by going this link.

    Before start making you’ve completed the following pre-requisites:

    1. Installed USB drivers for your Sony Xperia Z.

    2. Enabled USB debugging mode.

    3. Made sure that the bootloader of the Sony Xperia Z is unlocked.

    4. The Sony Xperia Z has a custom recovery installed, we recommend CWM.

    5. Your phone is at least 80% charged.

    6. You’ve created a Nandroid backup through the installed recovery.

    7. Your phone is rooted.

    Now that we’re done with those, let’s start with the installation process itself, follow the steps below:

    Step 1- Download the PACman Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean ROM and Google Apps.

    Step 2- Connect your Sony Xperia Z to a computer using mass storage mode and copy over the ROM to the phone.

    Step 3- Download this Fastboot package and unzip the Fastboot.zip file into the C drive of your PC. It’ll then create the fastboot folder with four folders.

    Step 4- Turn off your Sony Xperia Z and boot into Fastboot mode by holding the Volume Down + Power buttons.

    Step 6. Now connect your phone to your computer again in Fastboot mode.

    Step 7. Open CMD.exe (command prompt) on your PC. It can be found in the Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories.

    Step 8. Enter the following command to go to the fastboot folder: cd c:Fastboot 

    Step 9. Enter the following command: fastboot flash boot boot.img followed by fastboot -i 0x0fce flash boot boot.img

    Step 10. After the installation is complete and it gives you an OK prompt unplug your phone and boot into Recovery mode by holding Volume Up + Volume Down and Power buttons.

    Step 11. Use volume rocker to navigate and power button to click. Perform a data wipe + cache wipe

    Step 13. Navigate to flash ZIP from SD card and choose ZIP from SD card

    Step 14. Select the PACman Android 4.2.2 custom ROM’s zip downloaded in step 1 first. Select it using the power button and confirm installation.

    Step 15. Now do the same things with the Google Apps zip file.

    Step 16. When installation is done, go back to the main menu of CWM and perform a reboot.

    Samsung’s latest and greatest smartphone yet – the Samsung Galaxy S4 is almost here and Samsung is all ready to stream the announcement worldwide. The Samsung Unpacked 2013 event like last year will be covered by major tech sites so live blogs are a given, but having a live stream directly from the source is much better right?

    The Samsung Galaxy S4 leaks have been almost iPhone like with new parts and pictures leaking every few days. Just last week some pictures were leaked of the phone from a Chinese forum showing off the phone’s design which looks a lot like the Samsung Note 2.

  • Activision Introduces Micro-transactions In Black Ops 2

    Along with making Nuketown 2025 free to all Xbox users (other platforms will also get it later), Activision also announced the inclusion of Micro-transactions in Black Ops 2.

    These in-game purchases or ‘Micro Items’ as Activision calls them will be sold in packs called ‘Personalization Packs’. These packs will include items ranging from weapon camos to extra create a class slots but thankfully will have no effect on the gameplay itself.

    The  ‘Personalization Packs’ will include a calling card, a camo, and three reticles and cost only 160 Microsoft Points while another pack called the Extra Slots Pack will add 10 more create-a-classes and increases your storage allowing 20 more emblems, 32 more films, and 40 more screenshots.

    These micro-transactions are Xbox only for now but will be making their way to PS3 and PC at a later date.

  • Google Plus Games Are Coming Soon

    As most of you have heard by now Google Plus or Google+ has opened it’s doors to the public by holding a Public Beta which started on the 20th of September. So since Google+ has opened it’s e-doors to the floods of users expected to come through they need to be kept entertained, so to address that many casual games are expected to hit the search giants latest attempt at social networking.

    One of the things which make Facebook (Google Plus’ closest competitor) so popular is the vast library of free to play games, so to capatalize on that Google’s struck a deal with many of the companies which produce browser based games like Zynga (which they made a huge investment in) to bring their games to Google+. A recent release is of the highly popular city building simulation game by Zynga called CityVille, Google has assured us that many other games are expected to come very soon.

    It’s finally official folks, the announcement we’ve all been waiting for. Apple has just send out invites to media outlets to join them at their home in Infinity loop, Cupertino for the iPhone 5 media event dubbed ‘Lets Talk iPhone’ to be held on October 4th. The event will start at 10:00am Pacific Time.

    We should all be glad that Apple’s finally decided to make this official and let the various rumors and reports die. Well till the people get sick of the iPhone 5 and start waiting for the iPhone 6. Now all we can do is wait, only just a few days left now!

    Skype aired a new update for the Phone version of their hugely popular VOIP client. The new update adds support for H.264 video which lets the iPhone call TVs which support Skype. Currently Skype for TV is supporting by a few Panasonic, LG and Samsung HDTVs while Sony and Vizio have announced support in the HDTVs too be launched  later this year. The new update is also available for the iPod Touch and iPad (which doesn’t support video calling, YET). The new video calling feature are only available on the devices with cameras, for example: the new 4th gen iPod Touch is supported while the older ones aren’t. Skype is available from the iTunes store for free so go grab it as soon as possible.
