Motorola today announced through its Twitter page that the latest iteration of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich is going to be released for several of Motorola’s latest phones. They pointed out that development is well under way and for some of the devices they are even at the testing stage.
The full list of devices include:
- DROID BIONIC
- DROID RAZR
- DROID RAZR MAXX
- MOTOROLA RAZR
- DROID 4
- PHOTON 4G
- MOTOROLA ATRIX 4G (AT&T)
- ATRIX 2
- ELECTRIFY
- XOOM Tablet
Owners of XOOM Wifi in US will get the update in Q1, Motorola RAZR in Asia and Canada will follow in Q2, while some others have to wait till Q3 to get their hands on update. The Motorola forum post also mentions that some devices with 512 MB RAM (like DROID 3) might also get the ICS update.
