Ninja Theory’s DMC (Devil May Cry) has a cover art now. Revealed by Capcom on it’s Unity Blog, the cover shows the new Dante wielding his dual pistols with his sword on his back. Deserves a S for Stylish, doesn’t it?
Check out the covers below, both for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
Three dimensional photos of the box have also been put up. Check them out below:
And, lastly, just for fun, there’s a picture of the art for the Sega Genesis.
Pre-order bonuses for Amazon have also been revealed. Players who pro-order the game from Amazon will receive Dante’s Bone-irific Shotgun, Scythe, and Axe. Sorry to crush your hopes, but these will be in-game.
The Official Capcom Store will have it’s own pre-order bonus which will be announced later. While you wait, why not watch the new Gamescom trailer for the game?
As we first heard late last year, Capcom is apparently putting a new twist on the Resident Evil franchise with the help of SOCOM: Confrontation dev Slant Six Games. Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, a squad based shooter, is reportedly the cover story of Official Xbox Magazine’s May 2011 issue.
The issue, which StickSkills claims to have obtained from an unnamed newsstand (pictured above) that routinely sells issues early, supposedly details a game in which players take on the role of Umbrella Corporation special forces on a mission to clean up Raccoon City following the events of Resident Evil 2.
According to the site, the team will have access to “big guns” and employ a number of tricks to fool and manipulate enemies — human or otherwise. Trying to kill series hero Leon Kennedy is said to factor into the game, with the possibility of friendly forces being deployed to protect him. Operation Raccoon City is reportedly in development for Xbox 360 and PS3, and is scheduled for release this winter.
Capcom’s new game, Remember Me, has been given a chance to be explored further as it’s combat details were revealed today. The game will give the players the freedom of creating and customizing their own combos in the Combo Lab. By re-organizing four families of combos, called Pressens, players can create a unique several chains.
There are about 24 Pressens available in the game which can be unlocked using PMP (Procedural Mastering Power), obtained by finishing off your enemies and performing combos. The four Pressen families available are:
Regen Pressens: As the name indicates, they will regenerate your health every time you land a hit. Apart from that, they will also do some slight damage.
Power Pressens: These will deal heavy damage and trigger finishing moves.
Cooldown Pressens: They do a small amount of damage and reduce the cool down for special moves.
Chain Pressens: They duplicate and double the effect of the previous Pressens in the chain.
Special moves are also available which require Focus, gained by performing combos. These special moves are called S-Pressens and can be obtained at key-points in the story. There are five S-Pressens in total. These are:
Fury: A freeflow move, allowing the character, Nilin, to flow from enemy to enemy, attacking harder and over long distances.
D.O.S.: Enemies are stunned, invisible enemies are revealed and special moves are cancelled.
Camo: Turn invisible and execute a finishing move.
Logic Bomb: Damage is dealt to all enemies and shields are broken in this explosive attack.
Rest In Pieces: Robots are turned into allies who will help you defeat ground-based enemies.
Furthermore, Pressens can be combined into a single combo called a multi-usage combo. Also, the later a Pressen appears in a combo chain, the stronger it will be. All the while during combat, the players input and the family type of the Pressen will be shown on screen. According to Capcom, 50,000 combinations can be made with the Combo Lab. Lastly, when Nilin is low on health, or the move that she is using is ineffective, the screen will “glitch” to indicate this and warn the player.
The usage of the Combo Labs distinguishes this game from others, but will it be enough for this game to be good?

CapcomUnity has uploaded the live Resident Evil 6 gameplay demo from Gamescom starring Jake and Sherry. Watch the full gameplay demo below, its off screen unfortunately. Please note that there may be some minor spoilers in the video.
So far it looks pretty good, have to hand it to the voice cast especially. They delivered the super cheesy dialogue pretty well. Resident Evil 6 arrives on the Xbox 360 and PS3 October 2nd.
What did you think of the demo? Let us know in the comments below.
Capcom has confirmed that Okami, a game originally released on the PS2 and later on the Wii, will be making an appearance on the PS3 via PSN. The game will now be referred to as Okami: Zekkie-ban, or Okami: Magnificent Version.
The game will be remastered and will feature 1080p visuals. It will first be released in Japan on 1st November 2012 for a price of 4000 yen (Around $50). The game will support the PlayStation Move.
It is unclear whether this game will be available in other countries but I guess we’ll know soon enough.
We reported earlier that the PS2 classic, Okami, would be coming to the PS3 in glorious HD as Okami HD. Later, some pictures and a video were revealed as well.
Now, a release date has been confirmed. At TGS yesterday, Capcom announced that Okami HD will be coming out on the PlayStation Store on October 30th. The price? A meager $19.99. In Japan, the game costs 4000 Yen, according to the previous report. The Japanese release is on the 1st of November.
The game will feature 1080p graphics and visuals, which should be plenty of eye candy for the gamers as the game is beautiful and very artistic. But the question is, will the players buy it? The PlayStation 3 has had lots of HD remakes and collections, which makes it hard for the people to keep up and decide whether or not it’s worth buying an old game just for advanced visuals and that nostalgic feeling.

Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica are getting a release on PS3 and Xbox 360. They will be fully HD remastered along with support for Trophies and Achievement Points. These new videos show us these remastered games in action for the first time.
Resident Evil 4 was one of the most critically acclaimed Resident Evil game of all time. It is one of my personal favorite and i have got a lot of fond memories with this game. This version will come with all the extras of the PS2 version which means we will also get Separate Ways, a side-chapter which dealt with the story of Ada Wong.
Since i personally played the PS2 version and never tried the Gamecube/Wii version, this gameplay video of Resident Evil 4 does appear to be a lot better and cleaner then its PS2 counterpart. The graphics appear to be better, frame rate appears much more smoother, as the PS2 version had slight hiccups on heavy scenes like shooting a exploding barrel and during some of the boss fights. The textures definitely look much better then the PC and PS2 version. You can see the gameplay video below. Make sure to view it in HD to see it in full glory.
Resident Evil Code Veronica was a Dreamcast exclusive Resident Evil game until it was later ported to PS2 under the title Resident Evil: Code Veronica X. I have personally played it on PS2 and i always heard that the Dreamcast version was the superior one with better graphics as compared to PS2. It is one of the many old-school style Resident Evil game which still retains the tank controls(Press up to go up, left and right to turn).
Based on the brief gameplay shown in this trailer. I can clearly see improvements compared to the PS2 version. The lighting appears to be better and the game has received a slight texture upgrade which makes it look better then PS2 version. Capcom claims that this version will have a new lighting engine and from this trailer, it certainly looks like it. See the video below and make sure to view it in HD.
Resident Evil 4 HD will be available on Xbox Live Games on Demand on September 20th while PS3 users will be able to grab it off PSN on 21st September. Resident Evil: Code Veronica HD will be available on Xbox Live Games on Demand on 27th September and PSN on 28th September. Both of these games will cost you $15 each($30 total for both) or equivalent to about 1600 Microsoft points.
We previously posted about the gameplay trailers of these upcoming HD titles here, but we forgot to post screenshots. Now you can see these new screens and be the judge yourself. Can you spot the difference?
These HD remastered version of these fan favorite old games will be released on both PS3 and Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 users will be able to enjoy these classics one day early then their PS3 counterparts.
Resident Evil 4 HD will be released on Xbox Live on 20th September while Code Veronica will arrive a little later on 27th September. Both will be available on Games on Demand rather then being a XBLA title.
PS3 users will get Resident Evil 4 HD on 21st September on PSN while Code Veronica will arrive on 28th September. You can read more details and and see gameplay video from here.
From the images below, Resident Evil 4 HD still looks fantastic despite being an old game. It hasn’t aged much with respect to current technology. Resident Evil: Code Veronica, on the other hand – looks a little old school. Nothing to worry though, it was still a fantastic game. The main thing that matters is the story and gameplay and both were quite good in Code Veronica. You can also dual wield guns as shown in the gameplay trailer.
