  • COD Ghosts to have dedicated servers on every console

    Infinity Ward Executive Producer Mark Rubin confirmed earlier today on Twitter that along with the Xbox One version of Call of Duty Ghosts; the PS3, PS4, PC and Wii U will also be getting dedicated servers of their own (via GN).

    Well having dedicated servers should certainty improve the gameplay a lot in COD Ghosts. Expect lesser lag and other rage inducing factors. Other FPS titles like Battlefield have had dedicated servers for years, thankfully Call of Duty will have them too from now on.

  • MLG Columbus to host first Call of Duty: Ghosts tournament

    Major League Gaming and Activision announced recently that along with Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, MLG Columbus will also be hosting the first ever Call of Duty: Ghosts tournmanet.

    MLG Columbus taking place this November just days after Ghosts’ released on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 will have a $50,000 prize pool with the winner taking away $20,000.

    General admission and VIP passes are now on sale at the MLG stores while the competitor passes will go up on Monday, September 30 at 5pm ET.

    General Admission Pass for the entire weekend – $35 in advance, $50 at the door.

    9/20/13 to 11/21/13 (11:59 pm ET): $35 Online

    11/22/13 to 11/24/13: $50 Online and at the door during the event

    Passes will be available for $280 in the MLG Store and the pricing breakdown for competitors is as follows:

    9/30/13 to 10/21/13: $280.00 – 30% off the door price

    10/22/13 to 11/4/13:$320.00 – 20% off the door price

    11/5/13 to 11/20/13:$360.00 – 10% off the door price

    11/22/13: Door $400.00

    Open Bracket – 96 teams

    Championship Bracket: The top 8 registered Columbus teams from the NA 360 Black Ops II Pro Points Rankings released on Tuesday, November 5th and the top 4 registered Columbus teams from the NA 360 Ghosts Pro Points Rankings released on Tuesday, November 19th will start in the Championship Bracket and will later be joined by 12 teams from the Open Bracket (4 Winners Bracket & 8 Losers Bracket).

    The event will take place at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, 400 North High Street – Hall D, Columbus, OH 43215.

    Spectate In Person: VIP and General Admission passes are available in the MLG Store.
