  • Resident Evil 4 HD And Resident Evil: Code Veronica HD First Gameplay Videos Released

Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica are getting a release on PS3 and Xbox 360. They will be fully HD remastered along with support for Trophies and Achievement Points. These new videos show us these remastered games in action for the first time.

Resident Evil 4 was one of the most critically acclaimed Resident Evil game of all time. It is one of my personal favorite and i have got a lot of fond memories with this game. This version will come with all the extras of the PS2 version which means we will also get Separate Ways, a side-chapter which dealt with the story of Ada Wong.

Since i personally played the PS2 version and never tried the Gamecube/Wii version, this gameplay video of Resident Evil 4 does appear to be a lot better and cleaner then its PS2 counterpart. The graphics appear to be better, frame rate appears much more smoother, as the PS2 version had slight hiccups on heavy scenes like shooting a exploding barrel and during some of the boss fights. The textures definitely look much better then the PC and PS2 version. You can see the gameplay video below. Make sure to view it in HD to see it in full glory.

Resident Evil Code Veronica was a Dreamcast exclusive Resident Evil game until it was later ported to PS2 under the title Resident Evil: Code Veronica X. I have personally played it on PS2 and i always heard that the Dreamcast version was the superior one with better graphics as compared to PS2. It is one of the many old-school style Resident Evil game which still retains the tank controls(Press up to go up, left and right to turn).

Based on the brief gameplay shown in this trailer. I can clearly see improvements compared to the PS2 version. The lighting appears to be better and the game has received a slight texture upgrade which makes it look better then PS2 version. Capcom claims that this version will have a new lighting engine and from this trailer, it certainly looks like it. See the video below and make sure to view it in HD.

Resident Evil 4 HD will be available on Xbox Live Games on Demand on September 20th while PS3 users will be able to grab it off PSN on 21st September. Resident Evil: Code Veronica HD will be available on Xbox Live Games on Demand on 27th September and PSN on 28th September. Both of these games will cost you $15 each($30 total for both) or equivalent to about 1600 Microsoft points.

  • ICO And Shadow Of The Colossus PS2 Vs PS3 Graphical Comparison

IGN has posted this neat video which pits the upcoming HD remake of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus to their PS2 counterparts. You can check this nifty video for yourself. Make sure to watch it in High Definition(HD) resolution for maximum experience.

While ICO still retains the old school PS style look, Shadow of the Colossus definitely looks better and much more smoother game. The resolution boost gives a much more crisper image. The 3D support that is also being implemented will be a nice bonus.

Shadow of the Colossus still has some of our favorite gaming moment of all time, it was the first game which truly made us feel like a hero who has to slay giant monsters of all kind. Armed with just a bow and a simple sword, we had to use various methods and exploit the weakness of these giant monsters(Colossus)in the game in order to slay them.

These HD remastered version of these fan favorite old games will be released on both PS3 and Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 users will be able to enjoy these classics one day early then their PS3 counterparts.

Resident Evil 4 HD will be released on Xbox Live on 20th September while Code Veronica will arrive a little later on 27th September. Both will be available on Games on Demand rather then being a XBLA title.

PS3 users will get Resident Evil 4 HD on 21st September on PSN while Code Veronica will arrive on 28th September. You can read more details and and see gameplay video from here.

From the images below, Resident Evil 4 HD still looks fantastic despite being an old game. It hasn’t aged much with respect to current technology. Resident Evil: Code Veronica, on the other hand – looks a little old school. Nothing to worry though, it was still a fantastic game. The main thing that matters is the story and gameplay and both were quite good in Code Veronica. You can also dual wield guns as shown in the gameplay trailer.

  • Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows First Official Trailer Is Finally Released

Shrelock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is the sequel to the surprise hit Sherlock Holmes of Guy Ritchie. The last film was a massive success and made 200+ million alone in North America. See the trailer after the jump.

We have very high expectations with this movie as the first movie had an awesome sense of humor and was nicely directed by Guy Ritchie. The trailer is really hilarious and if they manage to deliver the same fun again then it will be great. A new addition to this sequel is “Noomi Rapace” who got famous for her “Girl in Dragon Tattoo” role and it’s frequent sequels. It will be interesting to see how good she performs in Hollywood.

Below are two cool promotional images of Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. John Watson.

  • The Amazing Spider-Man Teaser Trailer Is Leaked Online

This week, it seems like that every teaser trailer which is intended for viewing only in Cinema is being made available online illegally. Recently, the teaser trailer for Amazing Spider-Man was leaked and made available online.

This teaser trailer which is about more then 2 mins and 25 secs long shows a lot of the film footage. We can see Andrew Garfield as a young Peter Parker as well Emma Stone as the lovely Gwen Stacy. Rhys Irfan is Dr. Curt Connors and we see him for a brief moment. As all Marvel fans know that he will be “The Lizard”.

While there are two rumored villains, one is Lizard while other is Proto-Goblin which is being played by famous Indian actor Irfan Khan. There was no footage of Irfan Khan in this trailer though.

It is most certainly a reboot as the whole story of how Peter Parker got bitten by the radioactive spider seems to be changed now. It looks like instead of the high school trip, he will be bitten in some sort of lab. It most likely looks like the lab of Dr. Curt Connors where Peter Parker seems to be working along with his fellow and maybe love interest in movie “Gwen Stacy”.

There is another sequence in the trailer where we see the entire view in First Person. It seems to be Spiderman’s perspective as he jumps from building, crawls on walls and web swings his way to a tall building where we can see the reflection of Spiderman in the mirror. This whole sequence looks very similar to a famous videogame “Mirror’s Edge”. All this footage looked like CGI and it wasn’t spectacular looking to boot.

Due to copyright claims, we cannot share this trailer with you. Sorry guys. We will post it as soon as it is officially released by Columbia Pictures.
