  • How To Use Huawei Exclusive Android Apps On Any Phone

Huawei’s latest and greatest – the Huawei Ascend P1 is only available in selected markets as of now but the guys over at TeamAndroid managed to get their hands on one and have uploaded the phone’s exclusive apps for us to enjoy. These apps available in .apk format should work on all Android phones but have only been confirmed to work on a Galaxy Nexus.

The complete Suite of apps include the Huawei Camera, DLNA app, File Manager, Wallpapers, Launcher and 3D homescreen along with the Cloud+ online storage app which offers 5GB of GB of storage. There’s also a Sound Recorder app but it will replace your phone’s current one so we’d recommend against installing it.

To install these apps just follow the steps below:

Step 1. Download and transfer the .apk files to your Android Phone.

Step 2. Make sure Install through Unknown sources in enabled, you can do so by going into Settings > Applications or Settings > Security if you’re using an ICS phone and check the Unknown Sources box.

Step 3. Install the app by tapping on it using a File Manager.

Now all that’s left is downloading the apps, do so using the links below.

    Download: Huawei-File-Manager.apk, Huawei-Cloud.apk, Huawei-Camera.apk, Huawei-Music.apk, Huawei-Keyboard.apk, Huawei-Wallpaper-Chooser.apk Huawei-Sound-Recorder-System.apk, Huawei-DLNA.apk

Screenshots of the apps are below:

Make sure to give the source a visit and thank them for getting us these apps. If you have any questions feel free to ask us in the comments below.

  • Huawei Unveils “The World’s Fastest Smartphone” – Ascend D Quad

Huawei has officially confirmed the Ascend D Quad which they claim is “the world’s fastest smartphone” which to be honest is a huge brand boost for the Chinese company. Huawei is mostly known for it’s low end carrier phones but looks it wants to be a serious competitor in the smartphone market with the Ascend D Quad.

The Ascend runs Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is powered by a quad core 1.2/1.5GHz processor which is probably of NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 variant. There’s also a 4.5-inch 720p display, 8MP 1080p back camera, 1.3MP front, 1800 mAh battery and a 8.9mm thin chassis.

Huawei also announced two other high end Android smartphones – the Ascend D Quad XL and the Ascend D1. The Ascend D Quad XL is basically the same phone but with a bigger 2500 mAh battery ala the Droid RAZR Maxx while the Ascend D1 is an ICS phone with a 1670 mAh battery and dual core 1.2GHz processor.
