  • iTunes 11 release delayed till November

If you’re an iDevice user then iTunes is most definitely part of your life. It is the software that lets your iPhone, iPad or iPod communicate with your computer. In addition to that it offers a plethora of other features. You can’t escape iTunes if you’ve invested in Apple’s ecosystem.

Back at the iPhone 5 event Apple announced the new iTunes 11 that comes with an all new design and loads of new features and functionality. This includes the redesigned interface for the player that looks a lot slicker, a new mini player, redesigned store, tighter iCloud integration and much more. The scheduled release date for iTunes 11 was October. But October has come and gone and iTunes 11 is nowhere to be seen.

According to Apple the new release date for iTunes 11 has been pushed back to November.

The new iTunes is taking longer than expected and we wanted to take a little extra time to get it right. We look forward to releasing this new version of iTunes with its dramatically simpler and cleaner interface, and seamless integration with iCloud before the end of November

While it may be a disappointment to those looking forward to get their hands on the new iTunes 11 as soon as possible, it’s still a positive sign from Apple that they’re not about to release an unfinished product. This is in wake of recent software disappointments like the unbaked Maps and the undercooked Siri. Apple simply cannot afford to let slip another bugged piece of software.

  • iTunes 10.5 Beta 6.1 With iTunes Match Now Available For Download (Windows And Mac)

Apple has added iTunes 10.5 BETA 6.1 to their US developer channel (to be available in other regions soon) and is now available for download. The only major change in this BETA is the addition of iTunes Match which enables you to upload your audio files to Apple’s iCloud service.

Using iTunes Match you can sync you entire music collection with iCloud for a free of $25 per year. The service will only upload music from your collection which is not already available on iTunes, all music that is available on iTunes will be streamed to your PC, Mac or iOS Device directly from the cloud in it’s original 256kbps AAC glory.

The service could prove to be very handy and help save storage space across your devices. There are a few bugs in the service though like you can’t add music to iCloud from more than one computer at one time and there is minor playback lag when playing the files on your iOS devices. Expected these and other bugs to be fixed in the BETA. Developers were also told to backup their entire iTunes libraries since Apple could delete files from their iCloud accounts at anytime during the BETA.

  • How to Fix iTunes and Appstore’s “Invalid Address” Error

Apple just recently changed the way it validates addresses on iTunes accounts, this means that if you have a US iTunes account with a fake address or one generated from any service like fakenamegenerator you will get an error that says “Invalid Address”.

The solution to this problem is fairly simple. All you have to do is replace your fake address with this address:

    1 Infinite Loop
    Cupertino
    CA 95014
    Number: 408 996 1010

This is the address of Apple headquarters by the way. Just change the address on your iTunes account and you’re good to go.
