Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX Gets New Trailer At PAX East

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX is already out in Japan and will be out in Western regions in a few months, to keep the hype train going Square Enix released a brand new trailer at the ongoing PAX East event.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX will contain HD remastered versions of Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories and remastered scenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days. Both the games and even the movie mode for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days will have their own dedicated trophies, but Platinums are limited to 2.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX Confirmed For Europe And North America

Rejoice Kingdom Hearts fans everywhere! Square Enix has just announced that Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX will indeed be localized and released in Europe and North America.

The publisher revealed that the game will be releasing sometime in Autumn exclusively for the Playstation 3 and will be localized in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX is the long awaited HD Remaster of Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories and cutscenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days.

Every previously Kingdom Hearts game has been released internationally but people were doubting Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX because of the inclusion of Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix. Final Mix of Kingdom Hearts games have always been Japan exclusive and contained extra content like new cutscenes, new missions, secret movies, etc.

Along with the new content players will enjoy the remastered HD graphics along with high quality audio and new dialogues. Trophy fanatics will also be glad to know that Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX will also be coming with a set of trophies so better clear up your schedule for that platinum.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX Japanese Box Art Revealed

Square Enix has just revealed the Japanese box art for Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX which will include HD Remasters of Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories and cutscenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days.

Although an English release hasn’t been announced yet, Jesse McCartney who voices Roxas tweeted out yesterday that he was working on recording scenes for 358/2 days. The tweet and attached video were later removed but Westerners waiting for the game can rest assured that they will most likely get to play the game.

If you can’t wait for the game’s English release like me, you may want to import the Japanese version which will include English voices for the game’s Kingdom Hearts 1 and Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories portions.

New Screens And Renders From Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX’s 358/2 Days Portion

New screenshots and renders from Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX’s 358/2 days portion have been released courtesy of 4Gamer. The Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days portion of the HD Remaster will only consist of cutscenes and play like a movie. Event scenes will also be given full voice overs, the VA for Roxas – Jessey McCartney has been known to be recording voices for the game.

New Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX Details Revealed In Jump

Along with revealing Lumina as a brand new character in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, the latest Jump also revealed some new information on the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX.

In the Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days section of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX, the theater scenes will show off brand new CG models for the main three characters of the game namely Roxas, Axel and Xion.

Square Enix have also added a character encyclopedia where you can view bios and other details of your favorite characters.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX Gets Japanese Release Date And New Screens

Square Enix has finally announced the Japanese release date for Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX. The game will be hitting Japanese stores on the 14th of March in 2013 exclusively for the PS3.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX contains HD versions of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories and cutscenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days. Apart from the increase in resolution, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX will also include redone character models, tweaked controls and even a mysterious award after completion of the game.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX TGS Footage

Square Enix was spotted showing off some footage of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX during their TGS livestream. The whole 10 second video is embedded below:

Don’t be disappointed, I mean what did you expect? Its Kingdom Hearts… in HD. Its kind of weird to see Square showing of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX while not even talking about Final Fantasy X HD which they announced a year ago. Really gets you wondering on the state of the game.

Kingdom Hearts HD ReMIX announced just two days ago is exclusive to the PS3 and will include HD versions of Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories along with cutscenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX is all set to hit stores in Japan in 2013.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX Announced For PS3

Square Enix has announced the long awaited (and rumored) Kingdom Hearts HD collection in the form of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX but its not exactly what we expected.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX (yes that’s how its typed) includes the original Kingdom Hearts 1 in Final Mix form and Kingdom Hearts RE: COM (Chain of Memories) original released for the Game Boy Advance and then remade for the PS2. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 HD ReMIX will also include Kingdom Hearts 358/2 albeit not in playable form, cutscenes from the game will be viewable in the game’s theater mode. Along with the much coveted HD treatment both Kingdom Hearts 1: Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts RE: COM will be getting full trophy support.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX releases next year in Japan and hopefully in other areas too, teaser site can be found here.

Now my complain with the announcement is that why isn’t Birth By Sleep which as fans of the series might know is the prequel to the first game in this HD collection. It would only make sense as far as the story is concerned since and its weird how they included parts of 358/2 days which came out after Kingdom Hearts 2 but story wise takes place after Chain of Memories which takes place after Kingdom Hearts 1. Hopefully Square is planning more Kingdom Hearts HD collections like Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX for the future (Kingdom hearts HD ReMIX 2.5 anyone?)

Its been more than a year since Final Fantasy X HD has been announced which Square is taking its sweet time with, with that in mind is taking development of a brand new project smart? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
