  • Tales Of Xillia NA Release Date Set For August 6th

    Namco Bandai has finally revealed a release date for the international version of Tales of Xillia. A release date for EU regions has not been announced yet but fans in the US will get the game on August 6th exclusively for the PS3.

    Talking with gaming site Kotaku, when asked about the possibility of seeing PS Vita remakes Tales of Innocence R and Tales of Hearts R making their way stateside series boss Hideo Baba didn’t seem very confident.

    Unfortunately, at this present time we don’t have any plans to release any of the Vita titles,

    One of the main reasons is, unfortunately the PlayStation Vita is doing relatively poorly in North America, so it’s one of those things that if the numbers increased considerably, then it’s something we could consider.

  • Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition Raids Consoles This October

    The ‘spiritual successor’ to the highly acclaimed title of 2009, Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls made a gritty impact on the market with it’s amazing difficulty level which sparked much interest and debate from all around the world. Previously referred to as Project Dark, Dark Souls was released in Japan on 22nd September 2011. It was released for both PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360 systems. From Software developed and published the title for PlayStation 3 in Japan only where as Namco Bandai was responsible for publishing the title in Western territories for both platforms.

    A PC version was released on 24th August 2012.

    Apparently a new edition of the game titled Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition has been announced with a release date tagged with it by Namco Bandai for PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360. This edition is to be released on 26th October 2012. This special edition is to contain over 10 hours of additional content which includes new bosses, enemies, NPCs.

    When Demon’s Souls was released it showed the world that “THIS IS HOW YOU DO DRAGONS AND EPIC BOSS FIGHTS” and it’s spiritual successor doesn’t fall short in any of the epic-ness that was shown by Demon’s Souls.

    This special edition is only announced for consoles. There’s no word whether PC owners will also get 10hours of more awesomeness from Dark Souls.

  • Street Fighter X Tekken Comic Con Cinematic Trailer Introduces Some New Characters

    Are you excited for Street Fighter X Tekken, so are we. In this stunningly beautiful cinematic trailer shown at Comic Con, we are introduced with new characters which are Poison and Hugo. See the trailer and new screens after the break.

    Capcom has really got a talent when it comes to the art style used in such trailers. They started using such quality cinematics after the release of Street Fighter 4. This new cinematic style looks awesome in motion and makes for some nicely rendered and beautifully animated cell shaded scenes.

    We are introduced with the sexy looking Posion in this trailer. Hugo also makes an appearance in this trailer as well as other Final Fight cast like Guy and Cody at the end of trailer. Capcom has also officially announced some new characters including Poison which are Steve Fox, Yoshimitsu and Dhalsim. This makes for 2 characters from Capcom and 2 from Namco Bandai’s Tekken series.

    To summarize these new characters were recently announced.

    Namco:

    1. Yoshimistu
    2. Steve Fox

    Capcom:

    1. Poison
    2. Dhalsim

  • Tekken Producer Wants Project X Zone Localized

    Western Fans have been raiding Bandai Namco staff through social media showing their excitement for the company’s upcoming tactical fighting game – Project X Zone. The game is scheduled to be released next with month in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS with no plans for localization in other regions.

    When fans asked Tekken Producer Katsuhiro Harada about Project X Zone he tweeted the following:

    Please note that this is no way a confirmation of the game being localized. Although Harada-San is definitely a major player in Namco Bandai and if fans have convinced him of the game’s potential overseas then this is we should consider this a battle won in an on-going war of localization.

  • See The PS3 Exclusive Tekken Hybrid Trailer And Screens

    Tekken Hybrid is the upcoming Blu-ray release of the Tekken: Blood Vengeance movie, on normal Blu-ray players, it will play just like a normal Blu-ray movie but PS3 owners can access exclusive content if they play it on their PS3.

    This extra content includes a HD remastered remake of Tekken Tag Tournament of PS2, it will also come with Trophy support. The other extra feature is Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue, this will feature exclusive characters from Blood Vengeance movie like Alisa, Xiaoyu, Devil Kazuya and another unannounced character.     Now only if other companies also follow this direction and release exclusive games along with their Blu-ray release. We can always imagine a Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Blu-ray with a HD remake of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII or the upcoming CGI Resident Evil movie with a HD remake of Resident Evil 2 or 3.
