  • NVIDIA unveils it’s powerful GeForce GTX 590

    With it 1,024 total CUDA cores, 94 ROPs, and 3GB of GDDR5 RAM on board GTX 590 is the latest release from nVidia, the GTX 590 was intended to compete with ATI Radeon’s latest offering Radeon HD 6990 which claims the title of the fastest Graphics Card(as of now). Alas, after much benchmarking, testing, and staring at extremely beautiful graphics, the conclusion was that AMD retains its title. But only just. And, as Tech Report points out, the GTX 590 has a remarkably quiet cooler for a heavy duty pixel pusher of its kind.

  • Upcoming Tegra 3 Device from LG’s Specifications Leak

    Looks like the 2012 MWC is going to be a showcase of Tegra 3 phones. We already learned that HTC is going to unveil its ‘Next Big Thing’, the HTC Endeavor at the Mobile World Congress.

    We now have the specs of LG’s next flagship sporting the Quad-core Tegra 3 chip. The LG X3 (as it is called) supposedly has 4.7″ screen with HD resolution.  Powering the large screen and the processor will be a 2000 mAh battery. It wil run on Android Ice Cream Sandwich and will have a 8MP camera with ‘ultra fast shutter’.

  • NVIDIA Makes Tesla K10 And K20 Kepler Based GPUs Official

    NVIDIA today announced two brand new Kepler based GPUs namely the K10 and K20. The K10 which is based on NVIDIA’s current GK104 core present in cards like the GTX 680 and 690 will be available immediately while its big brother – the K20 which is based on the newer GK110 core will be available in Q4 of 2012.

    Both of these performance cards are part of NVIDIA’s CUDA programming platform which is all set to release in Q3 of this year to developers. The new cards feature some impressive new technology including improved “streaming multiprocessors” with improved power consumptions, “dynamic parallelism” for more efficient data transfer and Tesla’s Hyper-Q function which enable that cards to work better with multiple CPU cores.
