  • How To Backup Your iPhone Unlock Ticket Using RedSn0w

    After unlocking your iPhone using the SAM Unlock method detailed here you should definitely backup the Unlock Ticket. You can do so very easily using the popular Jailbreaking tool – RedSn0w. Just in case you don’t have a compatible PC lying around use this method to backup your Unlock Ticket.

    The full guide is below:

    Step 1. Download and install the latest version of RedSn0w.

    Step 2. Launch the application.

    Step 3. Choose the Extras option.

    Step 4. Now choose Even More.

    Step 5. Now choose the Backup option, it should be last one.

    Step 6. Make sure your Backup path is as follows: /var/root/Library/Lockdown.

    Step 7. Now plugin your iPhone to your computer through a USB cable. Note: If you manage to get a Backup failed error message then you have to install the afc2add package from the System section of Cydia on your phone.

  • How To Restore Your Unlock Ticket For SAM Unlock

    The following tutorial will teach you how to restore your SAM Unlock ticket you backed up either using RedSn0w or iFile method. The full guide is below.

    Step 1. Insert your original SIM into your iPhone but make sure to disable SAM from the Sam Prefs before doing so.

    Step 2. Email yourself the Lockdown.ZIP archive if you don’t have it on your phone, if you then skip the first part of this step and open the archive using iFile.

    Step 3. iFile will ask you whether you would look to use the ZIP viewer or Unarchive it. Select the latter which will give you the Lockdown folder you archived earlier.

    Step 4. Now use the Copy/Link function of the Clipboard (Icon at the bottom right corner).

    Step 5. Now navigate to /var/root/Library by going all the way back and going into the root and Library folders.

    Step 6. Tap on the edit button on the top right and put the Lockdown folder in the trash.

    Step 7. Tap on the Clipboard icon again and Paste the extracted Lockdown folder here.

    Step 8. Tap on done, go all the way back to the Home screen and continue to Reboot your device.

    After your device has rebooted into the Springboard it will pick up your SAM unlocked SIM of your choice.
