  • UK Is Crazy For Fitness, Transformers 3 Video Game Is Not A Bust

This week Zumba Fitness: Join the Party was released for Xbox 360 and Wii. It sold the most copies this week to claim the top spot in the UK sales chart.

Dirt 3 showed a much needed love and support as it jumped 2 places up from 4th place to 2nd place this week. While Transformers: Dark of the Moon movie was creating big explosions throughout the world, its video game was also nothing short of success and managed to sell enough copies to claim the 3rd spot behind Dirt 3.

In the 4th and 5th places, Lego: Pirates of the Caribbean and L.A Noire clanged to their spots. L.A Noire is showing some good legs even though it was released in May. It is still selling extremely well which is good news for its publisher Rockstar. Lego games mostly have good legs so Lego: Pirates of the Caribbean still selling well was no surpirse.

Call of Duty: Black Ops had the most impressive jump today and went 10 places up from 17th to 7th place. What was more surprising was the sales of Brink which was a critical failure. It received a lot of negative review but despite this all it is still in the top ten video games at 8th place.

The rest of the top 10 video games chart is shown below:-

  • Transformers 4 Coming Out In June 2014

It is official, Michael Bay is working on yet another Transformers sequel to come out in June 2014. Transformers 4 could very well be a series reboot, which seems to be all the jazz these days with Spiderman and everything. The new movie might not star Shia LeBeouf this time around as he already said he won’t be coming back to do another Transformers movie.

    Producer di Bonaventura said:

“I think the challenge there is that we are really going to do a reboot and what that’s going to be, we don’t even know yet”

Rumor has it that Jason Statham might be doing the lead role this time around. I definitely think this series should be continued further rather than restarting it all over again. We’ll keep you posted as this story develops.

  • Transformers 3 Becomes The Top Grossing Movie In The USA For The Year 2011

This weekend box office was still in the favor of the Autobots as Transformers 3 continued its winning streak. This week, the competition between new movies wasn’t fierce and only two notable titles were worth mentioning which were Horrible Bosses and Zookeeper.

Transformers 3 fell an average 52% to gross a steady $47 million during its second weekend at the American box office. This brought its total tally to $261 million in USA which translates to a roughly $558 million worldwide gross if we count the foreign markets as well.

Transformers 3 is the top grossing movie for the year 2011 in the USA. The Hangover 2 stands second with $250 million while Pirates 4 is third with a $236 million gross.

The two new entries this week, Horrible Bosses and Zookeeper failed to bring in much audience. Both of these movies were comedy movies. While Zookeeper featured Kevin James who rose to fame after his smash hit Paul Blart Mall Cop, but still it faltered partly due to the growing success of Transformers and the declining star power of Kevin James.

Horrible Bosses opened to an estimated $28 million which was quite average for such type of movie. Zookeeper on the other hand lost to Horrible Bosses and opened to an estimated $21 million which was quite low especially for a Kevin James movie.

Below are the trailer for both of these movies.
