Wondering why you can’t open Twitter today? Well unfortunately its currently down across all platforms including web and mobile apps. Twitter updated their blog with the following statement just moments ago:
Users may be experiencing issues accessing Twitter. Our engineers are currently working to resolve the issue.
The downtime was reported first at around 12:15pm ET and has impacted the website, all third party and even the official apps.
How are you dealing with the downtime? Finally got the time to check up on your Facebook or *shreek* MySpace maybe? Let us know in the comments below.
The popular micro-blogging site Twitter has been banned today in Pakistan under direct orders from Raja Parvez Ashraf who’s the Minister for Information. The ban isn’t limited to just PTCL (the country’s biggest ISP) as users of almost all the ISPs of Pakistan report the inability to access the site.
According to ProPakistani’s sources the ban was issued in regard to blasphemous content being shared and displayed on the site. PTA is reported to have contacted Twitter and even Facebook and warned them that if even one page containing blasphemous content was read by users in Pakistan the website would be banned.
No official release has been posted yet but we’ll keep you posted.

Lastly, see this Uncharted: Golden Abyss story trailer which was shown at Gamescom.
Nowadays for some people Social networking is considered as a basic need of life. The new jailbreak tweak that we’ll cover today has also emphasized on social networking.
AppTweeter is a new jailbreak tweak that allows you to tweet information about apps directly from the App Store. The tweak contains TweetFormat that you can easily edit via settings panel. The specific information you can tweet about the app is:
App’s Icon.
App’s Size.
App’s rating.
Company that launched the app.
iOS version required.
If you want to share your favorite app’s with your friends directly from App Store then you must try this tweak. AppTweeter is available on Cydia for free under BigBoss repository.
Instructions to install this tweak are:
Step 1. Go to Cydia on your Jailbroken iPhone.
Step 2. Search for “AppTweeter” under BigBoss repository.
Step 3. Install the tweak and Restart SpringBoard.
Are you one of those audiophiles who simply can’t resist sharing your #NowPlayingTrack with your friends who are following you on twitter or do you simply like showing off your music collection while on the move and don’t have the time to type out “#NowPlaying Coldplay – Yellow A simple Cydia tweak will add a handy button to your on board twitter App to help making your #NowPlayingTrack known among your friends and followers by the single press of a button and like every other Cydia Tweak this guide will show you a VERY easy way to install the tweak and how to run it after installation
Run Cydia off your jailbroken iDevice (iPhone or iPod Touch).
From Cydia navigate to Search.
In “Search†type the following without the quotation marks ( “ “ ) “com.w00tylab.twitplayingâ€.
You will be shown a single result bearing the icon of a power drill, tap it and open it.
Choose “Install†on the top right of the screen.
Press “Continue†after the above step and you will be shown the following screen.
Wait for the bar to vanish and you will be prompted to “Restart Springboard†simply tap it and you’re almost done.
Your device will do a soft restart and take you back to your unlock screen, now once you unlock your device navigate to the native Apple Twitter app (I used this with the official Twitter App from the Appstore, I can’t say if this will work with substitutes) now press the new tweet button on the top right of your screen and look to the left of your character limit to see a musical note icon.
As long as your music player is running in the background (you can verify if its running or not by double tapping the home button and swiping right till you reach the end of all current running apps) you will be able to share what song you are listening without the fear of mistyping the song name / band name or the artist name and also include the #NowPlayingTrack with the name of your song.
This tweak is especially useful to those who either are audiophiles or simply love sharing what music you are listening to, you can even add a mention to dedicate the song to someone and compose a tweet for them too.
I hope you found this guide to be helpful and I hope I can help you with any questions or problems you may run into
NOTE: I ran this tweak on an iPod Touch 4G and an iPhone 4 both running on iOS 4.3.3, whether the tweak works on iOS 5 is not in my knowledge so if it doesn’t work on iOS I won’t be able to help you.
