After Google released the SDK for their latest update to Android, Ice Cream Sandwich we expected many devices to enjoy the new update. After being ported to the Nexus S developers are now looking into porting Android 4.0 over to it’s cousin the Samsung Galaxy S.
The port is currently in it’s very early stages so don’t expect everything to work, you would face various crashes and force closes right now we would recommend waiting out till the port is stable enough.
Google is still to release the proper source code for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich so currently they have no choice to port the SDK which as you can guess is not an easy task but rest assured the Galaxy S port is being lead by galnet and lttldvl who are very talented developers behind the popular custom ROM called MIUI.
