EA and DICE are currently selecting people for Battlefield 3 Alpha Trial. The interested people have to sign up via EA Origins. DICE also released the recommended specs needed to run the Alpha Version.
The recommended system specs are as follows:-
- Windows 7 or Vista (SP1)
- EA Origin
- CPU: quad core 2.0 GHz or faster
- RAM: 4 GB or more
- Hard Drive: 7.25 GB free disk space
- Video RAM: 512 MB or greater
- DirectX 10 or 11 compatible video card with latest drivers (AMD 11.5 or later, nVidia 275.33 or later)
- Sound: DirectX 10 or 11 compatible card
- Internet: broadband connection
The people who are interested in signing up for this Alpha Trial can go here. There is no info yet on how many people are to be recruited for this trial. EA Origins account is required in order to access this Battlefield 3 Alpha Trial.
There is ongoing rumor that Battlefield 3 will have some sort of open BETA. This is indeed the case but as we previously told you about the Medal of Honor Tier 1 Edition for Xbox 360 and PS3, those who have purchased it will get the chance to participate in the BETA early.
