Just a couple of Hours ago at the Facebook Developers Conference (f8) we were introduced to the revamped version of the Facebook profile page, dubbed Timeline. The new profile page looks much cleaner and I’m sure will greatly help us socialize.
The Timeline is currently only open for developers but no sweat we got a guide which will let you enjoy the new profile page right now. Just follow the simple guide below:
- Open the Facebook developer page by clicking here.
- Click on +Create New App on the top right corner of the page.
- Now you have to give your App a display name and namespace (lower case characters only), after you’re done click on continue (you need to have a verified Facebook account to continue).
- Now you will land on a new page where you can see various information regarding your App.
- Click on the Open Graph button on the top left side of the page under Settings.
- On this page you have to define what your app can do, it can be anything random. Click Get Started when you’re done.
- Now you’ll land on the Action Types page, all you have to do here is go down to the end of the page and click Save Changes and Next.
- Do the same for the Time Aggregations page, just click Save and Finish at the bottom of the page.
- Now go back to your profile, a pop up should show up regarding a developer release of Timeline. Click Get it now, the page will refresh and will open up the brand new Facebook Profile with Timeline.
More details about Timeline are here.
