Sad news for the gaming industry today, Insomniac – the guys behind games like Ratchet & Clank, Resistance and Spyro announced that they won’t be making any more Resistance games.
“We won’t be making any more Resistances,” said Insomniac CEO Ted Price in an interview with VG247 at Southern Methodist University. Looks like they’ve done all they can with the Resistance franchise and are moving to new horizons, namely their recently announced multiplatform co-op shooter – Overstrike.
Resistance first made it’s appearance as Resistance: Fall of Man in 2006 followed by sequels in 2008 and 2011. The games received generally positive reviews but failed to sell well, one of the reasons Insomniac decided to let the franchise go maybe?
