Fan Made Streets of Rage Remake Finally released

Developer Bomber Games started working on a game called Streets of Rage Remake in 2003, and only this week released the final version of the freeware PC game. It took a whole 8 years and various beta builds to release this final version. The official site description reads:

PROGRAM
Streets of Rage Remake is a project created from scratch, it does not use reverse engineering nor a single line of code from the original games. It’s all based on visual interpretation, comparing how things work in the original games and trying to mimic it for Streets of Rage Remake.

The New Apple MacBook Pro Is Here!

Just as reported by the rumors the new MacBook Pro is here and there are a lot of changes. The laptop lineup will be getting new Intel Sandy Bridge Core i5 and i7 processors, AMD Radeon 6000M will be powering the beast so no more Nvidia, Full HD cameras perfect for FaceTime and most importantly Thunderbolt I/O connector. The line up will include one 13 incher, two 15 inchers and one 17 incher.

13-inch MacBook Pro – Last time around the 13-inchers didn’t exactly get a lot of love (they were stuck with older Core 2 Duo processors), but this time is different — both 13.3-inch models are now available with Core i5 and i7 processors. The lower end model starts at $1,199, and features a 2.4GHz dual-core Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 320GB hard drive. Going up to the 2.7GHz dual-core Core i7 CPU and 500GB hard drive will set you back $1,499. This duo doesn’t get the AMD graphics treatment like the others, but from what we’ve heard Intel’s new HD 3000 integrated graphics is more powerful than ever.

17-inch MacBook Pro – Last but not least you’ve got the all-powerful 17-incher, which basically has the same specs as that high-end 15-incher — for $2,499 you get that same 2.2GHz Core i7 processor, AMD Radeon 6750M graphics, and a 750GB hard drive. Naturally, you can spec this one out with those aforementioned SSD options.

15-inch MacBook Pro – No more Core i5 options for the middle child — these two strictly get the Core i7 and AMD Radeon HD 6000M goods. The $1,799 model packs a 2.0GHz quad-core Core i7 processor, AMD Radeon HD6490M graphics with 1GB of VRAM, and a 500GB hard drive. On the higher end, there’s a $2,199 model which buys you a faster 2.2GHz Core i7 chip, AMD Radeon 6750M graphics, and 750GB hard drive. There are also 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB SSD options. Also, as far as we understand, the graphics switching will work exactly like the previous models — it automatically switches between the GPU and IGP depending on what you’re doing.

Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Play priced at £519.99 on Play.com.

The Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Play aka the Playstation Phone can now be Pre-Ordered at Play.com for £519.99. The package includes a black, sim-free, unlocked version of the device which according to the site will be available on Launch Date of March 28.

Another site “02″ also said earlier this week that hat it will be the exclusive UK provider of a white version of the Xperia Play.

Sparkle to release Calibre Variant of Geforce GTX 570 GPU.

Sparkle has announced that they’ll soon be releasing a Calibre version of the Geforce GTX 570 Graphic Card named Calibre X570. The card will come with a Factory Overclock and feature a huge Arctic Cooling Heatsink for better thermal specs.

The Arctic Accelero Xtreme used on the card will feature107 aluminum fins, five heatpipes and three PWN Purple colored fans which are said to lower the card’s temps upto 15C as compared to the reference design. From the looks and size of the heatsink it would easily occupy 3 slots.

The Geforce GTX 570 comes with 480 CUDA Cores, 1280Mb of GDDR5 memory running along a 384-bit wide memory interface. The GPU and shader clocks are maintained at 772 and 1544 MHz while the memory runs at 4212 (3800 MHz stock). The card supports 3-Way Sli support and comes with Dual DVI and a single HDMI port. Sparkle didn’t reveal the availability or pricing of the card yet.

Samsung Infuse 4G Might Be The First AT&T Phone To Support Sideloading Apps

Well it looks like Samsung’s 4.5-inch Behemoth the Infuse 4G is set to be the first AT&T Android phone to support sideloading apps. If you don’t know what sideloading is well it’s a feature which allows you to install applications from sources other than the Android Marketplace, this is found in the application section of the settings menu and can be toggled on and off on supporting phones. Sideloading is also referred as “installation from unkown sources”.

This rumor got started when a Infuse 4G owner and also a Samsung employee Philip Berne confirmed through his Twitter that his retail box Infuse came with the sideloading support. We will just have to wait till the phone’s May 15th release date to get to the bottom of this.

Assassin’s Creed Revelations concludes the trilogy, coming this November

After a series of teasers, Ubisoft finally reveled the third and final chapter in the Assassin’s Creed Series. The final chapter which is titled “Assassin’s Creed Revelations” is set to be released this November. It will conclude the story of the series which had 2 main protagonist so far “Ezio” and “Altair”.

Assassin’s Creed complicated plot will finally be fully explored in this last chapter. We will be able to play with 3 characters, “Ezio”, “Desmond” and “Altair”(Ubisoft again screwed his design here). The new “Altair” appears to be much older.

The story follows Ezio, who will travel to Constantinople, situated in the Ottoman empire. There is a growing threat of Templars, who are threating to destabilize the region there.

Ubisoft Montreal will be handling the development of this game. It is scheduled to be released on all major platform simultaneously(No delay for the PC this time)including PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.Stay tuned to find out more info regarding this game.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Required PC Specifications Released

The Witcher was a highly addictive role playing game exclusive to the PC which despite it’s share of bugs and glitches was still pretty enjoyable. It’s sequel The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings promises to bring more to the table. It’s developer CD Projekt Red releases the system requirements for the epic role-playing game.

MSI Rolls Out Ultra Slim X370 Laptop With AMD Fusion

Looks like this is truly in this season, MSI just announced the new member to the X ultra slim series; the X370 which measures at just 12.76 x 8.94 x 0.89 inches. The laptop features:

• AMD dual-core E350 processor (1.6GHz, 1MB cache)
• Single DDR3 slot with a wide array of memory choices
• 320GB/500GB/640GB hard drive
• AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics
• Two USB 2.0 ports
• Media card reader
• SRS PC sound
• 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Gluetooth v2.1 + EDR, Gigabit LAN
• 1.3MB webcam
• 4-cell battery

The laptop is also available with an 8-cell battery but MSI claims that the 4-cell would offer up to 10 hours of battery life which is more than enough for everybody. The OS will be as usual Windows 7 64bit. No price or availability has been been confirmed yet but stay tuned for more information.
