  • Clockwerk, while we wait for Sly Cooper 4

Clockwerk! Sly Cooper fans everywhere know what I’m talking about. Believe me, I’ve played the big games, I’ve fought the bad final bosses. But this boss in particular left a certain mark in my mind. Playing Sly Cooper and The Thievious Racoonus was one of the most memorable time of my gaming life. I mean don’t get me wrong, I enjoy mindlessly shooting random strangers in the head and turn the floor into a bloody mass for hours and hours and then finally killing someone extremely ridiculously difficult to kill. But it’s games like Sly Cooper that always give you that sweet tingly feel when you think about them.

Fighting Clockwerk was something I will never forget, that amazing dialogue before the fight, those last words he says when you’re beating his head off. Everything from start to finish was mysterious and unnerving. Ever since the game begins, it gives off this sense of suspense for what or who the final boss would be. They reveal every other villain as the stages progress, but Clockwerk is not even shown until he appears out of nowhere to fight you! NOT EVEN A CUTSCENE BEFORE THE FIGHT! It just begins, adds more depth to the whole “what-the-heck-is-that-thing” feel.

Clockwerk is overall the most awesome villain I remember to date, he needs to be the final boss in Sly Cooper 4, somehow he needs to come back and make his fans happy! That mysterious thought of an owl actually putting robotic parts on him to live forever and kill the Cooper Clan is just cooler than cool itself! BRING CLOCKWERK BACK IN SLY 4!

  • More Motorola Droid 3 Details Leaked

Most of you have probably seen the above leaked image of the Droid 3 before but the thing we’re all wondering are what’s inside that slim and shining body. Technobuffalo seems to have obtained some new information thanks to a reliable tipster.

The screen seems to be upgraded to a 4-inch qHD variant, powered by a dual core processor most probably the Tegra 2 variant just like the Droid X2. Other features include a new 5 row keyboard, a front facing camera for video calls and a brand new 8 megapixel sensor on the back. The only let down is no LTE support but that’s a good thing since Verizon hasn’t been properly able to provide 4G coverage across the US. No LTE could give better battery life too, so we’ll leave it for the Droid 4.

  • Modern Warfare 3 BETA Build Leaked?

Our friends over at WCCFTech have come across a video on YouTube showing off the game’s main menu screen. We can’t confirm the authenticity of the video so check it out below and tell us what you think:

The channel the video is uploaded on is called where the user has uploaded interviews and gameplay videos for MW3. Could it be that this guy has managed to get his hand on a BETA build of Modern Warfare 3 similar to how a BETA of Gears Of War 3 was leaked a few days ago for JTAG Xbox 360s.

So what do you think? Fake or real? Let us know in the comments below.

  • HTC Sense UI 3.0 Won’t Be Supporting PRE EVO 3D Devices

-insertsadsmileyhere- Yes we know this is sad, HTC just announced from their Twitter that older devices like your HTC Desire HD and Incredible S won’t be getting HTC Sense UI 3.0. HTC said that Sense UI 3.0 is only supported by newer devices like the EVO 3D, Flyer tablet and the recently announced Sensation. All three of these devices have dual core processors leading us to belive that this new Sense must be really hardware intensive.

This is new since I didn’t expect manufacturers themselves to fragmentise their own devices, but our bet is those geniuses over at XDA-Developers would probably sort this out it’s only a matter of time now.

Tri-Ace’s New Tech Just Blows Us All Away!

    Tri-Ace-Physically-based-rendering-540x300

Tri-Ace one of the best JRPG developers of recent times have released a tech demo for their new RPG engine which looks brilliant. The specifications are as follows:

    Rendered in real-time on Xbox 360 / PlayStation 3
Runs at 30Hz with 720p and is directly captured from the video output on the devkit
Real-time lighting and shadowing used (no baked light maps)
Key features are physically-based shading models, physically-based lighting and image-based global illumination

In a time where most Japanese devlopers licence UE3 to give their games something new it’s nice to see veterans like Tri-Ace to keep improving and maintaining the typical JRPG style which we adore. Check out the tech demo after the break.
