  • Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 Hardened And Care Package Editions Revealed

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 will come in two special flavours alongside the regular edition of the game. The Hardened and Care Package editions will offer a lot of goodies ranging from special in-game content to an official soundtrack disc. However both the editions will not be carrying an Elite premium membership subscription with them like the special edition of MW3 came with.

The Care Package will arrive in a care-package inspired case as the name implies and includes a remote control Dragonfire drone. Pretty neat, eh? We all were wondering what Treyarch will release this time as a special edition collectible this time, with Black Ops it was the RC car and now this time it is a Dragonfire drone.

  • Former Call Of Duty Devs Working On “Halo Beater” For EA

Activision claims that former Infinity Ward heads Vince Zampella and Jason West  new Sci Fi shooter IP intended to be a “Halo Beater” at their new studio Respawn Entertainment.

The Associated Press reported on the claim after Activision’s settlement with EA.

Activision has sought access to details about Respawn’s work for Electronic Arts on a new game that has not been revealed,

Activision claimed the pair had discussed creating a science-fiction shooter intended to challenge the “Halo” franchise, but instead of delivering that game gave it to Redwood City-based Electronic Arts.

Respawn has indeed been very silent about their new game after announcing a mysterious teaser image over a year ago (pictured below).

After announcing that they’ll be skipping E3 this year I don’t think we can expect their game to come out this year.

So what do you think of the game? Will the creators of the biggest franchise in gaming be able to do it again? Let us know in the comments below.

  • X-Men Destiny New Screens And Trailer Show The New Generation Of X-Men

X-Men Destiny is the upcoming action game from Silicon Knights which is being published by Activision. We will control 3 different characters in this game and we will have the option of choosing either the good side or the evil side of the X-Men.

This game is slated for release on September 27, 2011 in North America. It will be released on PS3, Wii, Xbox 360 and Nintendo 3DS. This trailer was shown at Comic Con 2011 and we can spot the release date in this trailer.

The three characters that we can control in the game include a girl and 2 guys. Their powers are still unknown and their background story is shrouded in mystery. We will be able to control their actions throughout the game which will determine our outcome. Whether we will join the evil side(Magneto) or the good side(Professor X), it will all depend on the choices that we will make in the game.

Another new gameplay addition is the inclusion of X-Gene. It will allow players to experience mutant abilities of their favorite X-Men characters. So even though we won’t be able to play as Wolverine or Cyclops, we can still use their mutant powers.

A couple of new screens were released on HeroHQ which is the official page of X-Men destiny on Facebook. It shows some pre-order costumes as well as in-game images.
