  • Call Of Duty Ghosts Box Art And Release Date Leaked

It seems the Call of Duty 2013 title will be called Call of Duty Ghosts according to recent leaks. Today’s leaks are of the game’s box art and release date.

The box art got leaked via a listing on Tesco Direct‘s website, the listing has now been taken down but IGN managed to take screenshots.

call of duty ghosts leak 1 514x320 Call Of Duty Ghosts Box Art And Release Date Leaked

If the box arts are legit then we can confirm that Call of Duty Ghosts will be coming out on both PS3 and Xbox 360. Call of Duty Black Ops 2 was released on the PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U so additional platforms could be announced. The character on the box art is wearing a balaclava similar to the one worn by Ghost in Modern Warfare 2 so there’s a slight chance the game could be a prequel since the character died during MW2.

The other leak is from a Target ad (pictured above, click to enlarge) which lists the game’s release date as the 5th of November 2013 which is pretty close to the release date of previous Call of Duty games.

The box arts are below (again, click to enlarge):

Although competitors like EA maybe be down in the dump, there’s nothing stopping Activision and it’s CEO Bobby Kotick who was recently revealed to be one of America’s highest payed CEOs.

After reviewing papers submitted to the SEC by Activision in 2012 (via Bloomberg) it was revealed that Mr. Kotick was worth a whopping $64.9 million to his company mainly through the $55.9 million stock options give to him. • Activision Prepping New Call Of Duty Game For Mobile Devices

Looks like Activision isn’t done with Call of Duty on normal gaming devices yet, they want to expand to mobile devices too. Talking at the DMW Games conference, Activision’s Senior Director of Global Digital and Mobile sales Jon Estanislao talked in detail about the Call of Duty franchise and their focus on mobile devices.

Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies 570x299 Activision Prepping New Call Of Duty Game For Mobile Devices

Recently Activison has been behind the curve from it’s competitors regarding their focus on mobile and Call of Duty. They currently only have the Call of Duty Zombies game available on iOS and Android which isn’t that impressive to begin with.

Going forward for us, how do we really take that Call of Duty experience, what is the essence of it? These kinds of grandiose, immerse experiences–how do we move that to mobile or tablet? From a development perspective, we’re investing a lot more in understanding how to marry that together with how customers expect to play on those devices,

We’re definitely looking to reach out to our core audience and engage them beyond their TV or PC and then give them new experiences around Call of Duty that are unique for that device.

Sure sounds impressive, ready to take your Call of Duty on the go guys?
