We knew the news was too good to be true and it seems it was, Sony’s official website is now displaying the old $199.99 price tag again. There’s no evidence left at all that there was ever a price drop. So if you’re planning to buy a PSP in the future then the PSP 3000 at a meager price of $130 is a no-brainer right now, and don’t forget to buy some good ol’ UMDs while you’re there.

    Well the PSP GO has been available a few times for $150 in various sales like Amazon’s Black Friday but now Sony has officially slashes $50 off the price tag so you won’t be paying a cent more anywhere. The PSP GO previously got a $50 price cut last year in October which was well received as the stupendous $250 launch price was just whack. The PSP 3000 also got a $40 price cut last week which knocked it’s price down to a meager $130. The PSP GO’s direct competitor the DSi has been just $150 for some time now and we can only wait to see how this price cut would affect the device’s sales.
