  • Google Renovating Its Mobile Site

Our friends at Phonearena just discovered that Google is giving a whole new look to it’s mobile site. First it was for the iOS and now when browsed from an Android device Google has an all new look. As it can be seen from the picture above(courtesy Phonearena) that there are different tabs or icons which can be pressed to move to the specific service(News, places etc.) making the website a whole lot easier to use.

The more button can be pressed to see the other services of google and other than that the settings for the search can also be given. We’ve really like the new interface and let us know through comments what do you think of it. Stay with us as we bring you more updates

  • Google Drive, Possible Dropbox Competitor Coming Soon

Google is going to be coming out with their own cloud storage service termed Google Drive. While the launch date and details are still unknown, plans are pretty valid and Google is looking to take over the market currently held by Dropbox, Box.net and SkyDrive. Google is going to launch their service with a traditional free version, possibly with more space than said companies, and a heavier enterprise version.

The good thing about Google Drive will be the seamless integration with the rest of Google’s services. To be able to embed Gmail, Google Docs, Apps, and so much more in your own personal cloud space is going to be a load of a lot of people’s backs.

We might also see a connection with Google Plus, the features are infinite. Does this mean loyal users of Dropbox and other services will quickly shift to the internet giant’s side as soon as it launches or will they stay true to their services?

  • How To: Disable Youtube’s New Cosmic Panda Layout

Youtube recently introduced it’s new proposed layout, codenamed Cosmic Panda which brings with it a radically redesigned new UI and a bunch of new features.  AS tempting as that may be, it is ridden with a slew of bugs, which is to be expected since it is still in beta. Tempted by these new features, I decided to change to the new layout, however, I could not bear to use it with all the bugs and I was searching for a way to revert back just after a few days.

The following is a guide on how to revert back to Youtube’s  old layout from Cosmic Panda.

    1. Make sure you are logged into your Youtube account.

    2. Go to the Youtube Cosmic Panda Page.

    3. Press the Older version link as shown in the screenshot below.

    4. That’s it.

  • Download The Google Plus App For Android Here

Yes guys Google’s second run in the social networking race Google Plus (or Google+ as the logo suggests) has finally hit BETA. The network is currently invite only but if you have managed to get one then good for you. Currently there are two options to access Google+ on mobile devices, an HTML 5 version which can be accessed through a mobile browser and a native full blown app for Android with additional features.

The only downside to the app is that it’s not available worldwide so you would need to either fake your provider using MarketEnabler from the Android Market place or directly download the app from the download link at the end of this article and install it using a file manager. There’s also an introduction video to the app below.
