  • WP7′s Pre-Nodo Update Fails Yet Again

Looks like WP7 hates Samsung Phones. Microsoft was suppose to roll out it’s Nodo update this March which would have added useful features like copy/pasting and other performance based enhancements. To allow for the bigger updates WP7 users have to install a pre-update which went seamlessly with some but ended up in bricking many Samsung Phones. The lucky ones who’s phones didn’t bricked simply ended up with a failed update. A week later they released an other update specially for Samsung users which was later found out to be broken too. Microsoft claims that only a 100 users have been affected but we found many more complaining on various tech forums all over the internet. We recommend you let all this drama unfold and wait for the proven proper version.

We are pretty certain that the the US will eventually get the Samsung Galaxy S II. As previously reported the big 4 carriers in the US (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint) will get four different variation of the phone just like it’s predecessor.

Samsung Singapore recently posted this picture of the official HDMI dock for the Samsung Galaxy S II on their Facebook. • Samsung Galaxy S II AT&T Variant’s Pictures Leaked, Features A Slide Out QWERTY Keyboard

BGR has received exclusive photos of the AT&T branded Samsung Galaxy S II which is yet to be released in the USA. The most distinctive part of the variant is that it features a slide out QWERTY keyboard like the Sprint variant of the previous Galaxy S: The Epic 4g.

BGR says this Galaxy S II variant manages to maintain it’s slim profile even with a QWERTY slider, could that make it the slimmer keyboard phone ever?

As you can see from the image above it’s indeed the rumored SGH-I927 which was previously thought to be the Windows Phone 7 powered Galaxy S II.

The BGR informant even managed to run some benchmarks which makes one thing clear: it’s bloody fast!

The camera is still 8MP with what it looks like a single LED flash. We’re still not sure that if the innards like the processor have been changed but we can say for sure is that the phone is indeed coming to the United States.

  • Unknown Samsung Galaxy S II Variant Appears In US Promo Video

A promo ad was released by Samsung today for the American Galaxy S II which featured an unknown variant of the phone at the end. The entire video from the start features the good ol’ three button Galaxy S II we’re all familiar with but at the end a new variant appears featuring four capacitive buttons (screengrab after the break).

The phone looks exactly like the T-Mobile bound Hercules we reported about earlier but straighter on the edges. This could very well be the Sprint bound Epic 4G Touch or the Verizon or AT&T variants we have yet to see. Check out the video below and tell us what you think:

  • Samsung Galaxy Note Ad Introduces Us To The ‘Phablet’

Remember that huge godly abomination Samsung announced at IIFA 2011? Yes I’m talking about the Galaxy Note. Samsung just released a commercial for the tablet-phone or ‘Phablet’ as it’s now popularly known.

The commercial shows us how productive the Galaxy Note could be, especially in the hands of graphics designers. With support for an accurate stylus on such a big and sharp display which you can you hold in one hand (barely) the Galaxy Note is the device to have for artists.

What do you think? Was their need for a device bigger than a phone and smaller than a tablet like the Galaxy Note? Let us know in the comments below.
