    Square Enix posted has announced their Jump Festa lineup taking place at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba during the 22nd to the 23rd of December.

    Also check out Square Enix’s Jump Festa web portal here. The lineup is surely missing highly anticipated titles like Final Fantasy X HD and Final Fantasy Versus XIII, lets hope that January conference rumor is true.

  • Another Final Fantasy XIV Failure Could ‘Destroy’ Square Enix Says Director

    Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn director Noaki Yoshida talking with Kotaku went raw and talked about how they would never make a mistake like Final Fantasy XIV ever again.

    We won’t make a mistake like FF14 again – if we did, it would be like at the level of destroying the company,

    Yoshida talked about how many of the Square Enix employees themselves were worried about the game’s launch in that state.

    When I heard that it was going to go on sale as planned, I thought, that will probably be a big mistake

    Yoshida also talked about how some of Final Fantasy XIV’s problems stemmed from its design approach. Square Enix’s most profitable Final Fantasy yet – Final Fantasy XI was initially designed to look like Everquest, but Final Fantasy XIV was made to be different and not be a competitor.   • Final Fantasy VII for PC out now

    Yes, you read that right. Your beloved PSOne classic is not available for the PC with those extra goodies you were promised. Final Fantasy VII is officially available on the Square Enix eShop for a promotional price of $9.99 for 30 days, after which it will become $12.99.

    As reported back in July, the PC version of Final Fantasy VII comes with 36 achievements that you can share with your friends, cloud saves and a character booster that lets you increase your HP, MP and Gil. The system requirements for the game are: Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7 (32/64-bit) • 2GHz Processor or faster • 1GB RAM • DirectX 9-compatible graphic card.

    Let the nostalgia kick in once again with this great re-release. Do note that the game is not in HD.

  • The World Ends With You Announcement Leaked As iOS Port

    Remember the TWEWY (The World Ends With You) countdown we posted about a few days ago? Well looks like Square Enix spoiled the surprise themselves.

    According to their Japanese eShop’s listing for the game’s soundtrack a version of The World Ends With You is due for an iOS release sometime later this year. The text which now has been removed mentioned that the iOS version of TWEWY will have new music.

    The soundtrack is titled Subarashiki Kono Sekai Crossover which is the game’s original Japanese name with Crossover added at the end. The soundtrack will feature track from the DS and iOS versions, TWEWY themed tracks featured in Kingdom Hearts 3D and a few other tracks. The soundtrack will hit stores on the 1st of October for ¥1,890.

    The official announcement is expected on Sunday so stay tuned to TechDeville for the latest TWEWY news.

  • See This Leaked 20 Minutes Of Worth Final Fantasy Type-0 Footage

    Final Fantasy Type-0 is going to be released on PSP this summer in Japan. For those who are eagerly waiting for it, here is a leaked video from the developers conference which shows about 20 minutes worth of in-game footage from the game. Check it out after the break.

  • Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX TGS Trailer Released, Looks Great In HD

    The Kingdom Hearts series is my favorite gaming series ever, so my excitement went through the roof Square Enix announced the long awaited Kingdom Hearts HD collection in the form of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX.

    They’ve now released a trailer showing off Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX’s graphical improvement, the video is embedded below:

    The original Kingdom Hearts when released ten years ago looked one of PS2′s greatest looking games, seeing the timeless classic in HD surely brings a tear to the eye.

    Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX includes HD versions of Kingdom Hearts 1: FM and Kingdom Hearts RE:COM along with cutscenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days. The game is expected to release in Japan next year for the PS3 with no announcement of an international release but if previous Kingdom Hearts games are anything to go by then we will definitely get to play it.

  • Agni’s Philosophy – A Final Fantasy-inspired Tech Demo From Square Enix

    A Final Fantasy-inspired tech demo called “Agni’s Philosophy” was released by Square Enix today, in order to introduce it’s next generation engine called the Luminous Engine. The engine is in development within Square Enix.

    According to Square Enix, the engine is able to portray high quality “real time computer graphics,” at the same level as “pre-rendered computer graphics,”.

    Final Fantasy Versus XIII is also supposedly using the Engine’s lighting assets along with the Crystal Tools engine acting as its base.

  • Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Debut Trailer

    Final Fantasy XIV version 2.0 has been rebranded and will now be known as Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Square Enix has released a CGI trailer announcing the rebranding titled “Fate of Eorzea”. Check it out below.

    Version 2.0 or A Realm Reborn is full overhaul of the original Final Fantasy XIV and is set to arrive on the PC along with the PS3 in early 2012. Are you looking forward to the game or not a fan of MMORPGs? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

  • Final Fantasy XIV Has Ended, Witness The End Of An Era In This Brand New Trailer

    As you may know by now, Final Fantasy XIV is now finished, Final Fantasy XIV 2.0 or Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be released early 2013 for both the PS3 and PC. So to finish the original and welcome its successor Square Enix has released a brand new CGI trailer by Square’s own Visual Works studio on their YouTube channel titled “End of an era”, check it out below:

    Featuring Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn’s Main Theme “Answers” with vocals by Susan Calloway and music by of course the legendary Nobuo Uematsu the End of an era trailer sure is awesome.   • Lightning Returns Is Using “Elements” From Final Fantasy Versus XIII

    FF Dream was able to get some information regarding Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII from SquareEnix’s Julien Mercero.

    Talking about Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, Mercero stated that the game will borrow elements from Final Fantasy Versus XIII along with its predecessors Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2. He also said that the development is progressing swiftly and that the game is currently going under focus testing so they know what people like and what they don’t. He also stated that Lightning Returns will be much different that its predecessors.
