Looks like WP7 hates Samsung Phones. Microsoft was suppose to roll out it’s Nodo update this March which would have added useful features like copy/pasting and other performance based enhancements. To allow for the bigger updates WP7 users have to install a pre-update which went seamlessly with some but ended up in bricking many Samsung Phones. The lucky ones who’s phones didn’t bricked simply ended up with a failed update. A week later they released an other update specially for Samsung users which was later found out to be broken too. Microsoft claims that only a 100 users have been affected but we found many more complaining on various tech forums all over the internet. We recommend you let all this drama unfold and wait for the proven proper version.

Brandon Foy, Creator Of Awesome Unofficial WP7 Ads Gets Hired By Microsoft
You guys remember Brandon Foy right? Well for those who don’t he made some awesome ads for Windows Phone 7 a few months ago and received critical acclaim with some people even claiming them to be better than the ones by Microsoft themselves and we wholeheartedly agree.
Microsoft even promised to air another video of his if it hit 200,000 views on YouTube. So today the news is that he got hired my Microsoft as a UX Director and today was his first day at work. Great to see big companies like Microsoft appreaciating the talent and letting it prosper. We can also expect much better Windows Phone ads since Brandon is in charge, so good luck mate!

Windows Phone 7 Mango Blows All Other Phones Out Of The Water In HTML5 Browser Tests
Ever since Microsoft announced Mango for their Windows Phone 7 platform they have been focusing on the OS’s exceptional HTML5 performance leaving behind the likes of Android, iOS and BlackBerry OS.
So Microsoft gave us another demo at the Worldwide Partners Conference (WPC) earlier this week where an HTC Mango handset went against the Samsung Droid Charge, BlackBerry Torch and an iPhone 4 with the latest iOS 5 BETA 3. The demo on display was called ‘Fish’ where 3D fishes were being rendered onto an ocean background.
As you could see in the video the Charge managed to pull 20fps, the Torch did 9fps, iPhone 4 managed to do around 15fps while the HTC managed a blazing fast 50fps! Now that’s what you call owning the crowd.

iTunes 10.5 Beta 6.1 With iTunes Match Now Available For Download (Windows And Mac)
Apple has added iTunes 10.5 BETA 6.1 to their US developer channel (to be available in other regions soon) and is now available for download. The only major change in this BETA is the addition of iTunes Match which enables you to upload your audio files to Apple’s iCloud service.
Using iTunes Match you can sync you entire music collection with iCloud for a free of $25 per year. The service will only upload music from your collection which is not already available on iTunes, all music that is available on iTunes will be streamed to your PC, Mac or iOS Device directly from the cloud in it’s original 256kbps AAC glory.
The service could prove to be very handy and help save storage space across your devices. There are a few bugs in the service though like you can’t add music to iCloud from more than one computer at one time and there is minor playback lag when playing the files on your iOS devices. Expected these and other bugs to be fixed in the BETA. Developers were also told to backup their entire iTunes libraries since Apple could delete files from their iCloud accounts at anytime during the BETA.

Dragons are also present in the trailer which will probably play a major role in the game’s storyline and gameplay. A Game of Thrones: Genesis is set to launch exclusively on PC (Windows) September 29th. Launch trailer is below:

Windows Phone Marketplace Hits 20,000 Applications Mark
Finally Windows Phone Marketplace has been able to hit the 20,000 apps mark but still it’s way behind Android Market and Appstore. Just two and half months ago Windows Phone Marketplace became the fastest store to hit the 10,000 mark and now another 10k apps have been added to it. Like all other app stores Windows Phone Marketplace has some low quality apps.
You can expect to have loads of quality apps once the Mango tools have been released. Other than that there will be a significant increase in the number of Applications in the windows market once Nokia releases Windows Phone handsets. Some months ago Nokia started recruiting app developers which is a clear sign that Nokia wants to have much applications in the Windows Phone marketplace. We expect it to have near about 50,000 apps by the end of this year. Is this rapid increase in the number of apps for Windows Phone enough to convince you to shift to Windows Phone let us know through your comments.
