HTC’s Beats inspired Sensation XE has proved to be a solid product and now it looks like a white version might be available soon. The Sensation XE was the first HTC phone incorporated with Dr. Dre’s Beats technology after their deal finalized in September.
The White Sensation XE is currently listed on Expansys’ Japanese website priced at $570 and shipping is expected in between 5 to 15 days. Looks like the White model will hit other shores when the Black model sells out. With Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich confirmed for the phone it might be a pretty good phone to buy right now.
The HTC Sensation XE packs a 4.3-inch qHD Super LCD display, a 1.5GHz dual core processor which a 300 MHz bump from the original Sensations 1.2GHz processor, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of Internal memory of which 1GB if available to the user but the memory is expandable with an internal SD card slot.
The HTC Sensation XE also includes a 8MP camera with dual LED flash which records video and full 1080p HD at 30 frames per second. The camera is feature packed with support for Geo-tagging, image stabilization, touch-focus, instant capture and face detection.
Connectivity options include WiFi b/g/n, DLNA, WiFi hotspot support, Bluetooth 3.0, HSPDA connectivity and a MHL/microUSB hybrid port. The battery is a spacious 1730 mAh unit and the phone runs on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread.
Last but not least the highlight of the HTC Sensation XE is the Beats connectivity and included Dr. Dre Beats earphones. When the earphones or any other Beats headsets the HTC Sensation XE activates a special Beats profile which makes the audio quality much better although you can get the same functionality on other Sense 3.0 phones by flashing a package available over at XDA.
