Xbox360 Sees Record Sales, 2.4 Million Kinects Sold During The Quarter
Microsoft just released fiscal reports for fiscal-year third quarter (ending March 31, 2011) and clearly blew us away. Microsoft’s EDD (Electronic Devices Division) which is mostly the Xbox enjoyed a 60% growth year over year. The division generated $1.94 billion and $225 million profit which is 50% more than the same period last fiscal year. The Kinect was a big seller with over 2.4 million units sold this quarter and has sold more than 10 million units in total. Microsoft is expecting 25% more revenue in Q4.
