This looks like a pretty big week for Apple, first Steve Jobs stepped down as CEO and now JailbreakMe creator and Jailbreak guru Comex has been hired by Apple as an intern.
Comex announced the news on his Twitter where he was deemed a traitor by many to the Jailbreak community but a man’s gotta go what a man’s gotta do. Comex later claimed that the response was positive overall:
He didn’t specify what Comex was gonna work on but considering his excellent vulnerability detection skills he might be working on making future versions of iOS more secure. Jailbreakers can expect a hard time indeed if Comex is at Apple’s helm. GeoHot who hacked the PS3 and several Apple devices was also hired in such a manner by Facebook a couple of months ago.
