Screenshots of HTC Sense 3.5 running on the upcoming ‘lady phone’ HTC Bliss have leaked on the Internet, so how does this differ from Sense 3.0?

Off the bat Sense 3.0 couldn’t run on single core phones (well not officially) because of all the flashy animations and eye candy but that changes with Sense 3.5 which is better optimized for both single and dual core phones.

The lockscreen stays mostly the same with the same wheel unlocking and shortcuts to your favorite applications. The lockscreen will now also show notifications for weather and other stats.

Widgets also get a refresh, being much polished this time. There are also a bunch of new HTC Sense exclusive widgets bundled with Sense 3.5, these widgets will be available in multiple sizes. Since Sense 3.5 is not gonna be limited to qHD screens anymore you can hide the lower portion of the UI and replace it with two buttons, one for your app drawer and the other for your phone to save screen real estate.

XDA.cn who got their hands on these screenshots first claim that this is just a BETA release and we can expect final version to be much more polished.

The Nokia-Apple lawsuit that has been dragging along for months has finally been settled. Unlike most cases of these sorts, this lawsuit didn’t end in an injunction, rather a press release from Nokia, citing a license agreement and payments from Apple to Nokia.

Nokia did not cite the specifics if the agreement; however, they did say that Apple will make a one-time payment followed by on-going royalties.

Apple payments to Nokia settle all litigation and have positive financial impact

Espoo, Finland – Nokia announced that it has signed a patent license agreement with Apple. The agreement will result in settlement of all patent litigation between the companies, including the withdrawal by Nokia and Apple of their respective complaints to the US International Trade Commission.

The financial structure of the agreement consists of a one-time payment payable by Apple and on-going royalties to be paid by Apple to Nokia for the term of the agreement. The specific terms of the contract are confidential.

“We are very pleased to have Apple join the growing number of Nokia licensees,” said Stephen Elop, president and chief executive officer of Nokia. “This settlement demonstrates Nokia’s industry leading patent portfolio and enables us to focus on further licensing opportunities in the mobile communications market.”

During the last two decades, Nokia has invested approximately EUR 43 billion in research and development and built one of the wireless industry’s strongest and broadest IPR portfolios, with over 10,000 patent families. Nokia is a world leader in the development of handheld device and mobile communications technologies, which is also demonstrated by Nokia’s strong patent position.

This agreement is expected to have a positive financial impact on Nokia’s recently revised outlook for the second quarter 2011 of around break-even non-IFRS operating margin for Devices & Services.[/box]

We’ve been covering parts of the N94 next generation iPhone prototype and according the recent iOS 5 BETA 7 the phone has hit the FCC and has passed the inclusion process. After being Jailbreaked hackers discovered a file called “RegulatoryInfo-N94AP@2x~iphone.png“ from the BETA.

Regulatory data can be found in an iOS device at Settings > General > About > Regulatory.

The N94′s FCC ID of BCG-E2430A is similar to the BCG-E2380A ID of the GSM iPhone 4 and BCG-E2422A of the Verizon iPhone 4. After checking the current FCC records the N94′s ID is nowhere to be seen but this is common practice since the entries are suppose to go public along with the announcement of the phones. Looks like we’ll the more affordable iPhone soon enough.

This weekend, Super 8 was finally released after month’s of hype and mystery regarding the movie plot. Produced by the industry’s finest J.J Abrams and Steven Spielberg which were big enough names to guarantee the success of the movie. Despite this all, it failed to generate any notable gross on its release this weekend and got away with $35.5 million. If we compare it with similar movie Cloverfield which was also produced by J.J Abrams, Cloverfield managed to make $40.1 million and made a $80 million final tally.

X-Men First Class managed to seize $24.1 milllion to gross a total of $98 million. With its budget of $160 million, it is destined to be a failure despite this good gross unless it manages to overcome its costs. Despite having a warm positive reaction from critics and fans, its gross is still less if we compare with other X-Men movies.

The Hangover 2 which kept making records has now finally passed $200 million in just 16 days, also it is losing steam at a much faster rate then the previous Hangover, seeing its decline rate – it is doubtful if it can reach the final tally of Hangover. The Hangover was a surprise hit and had long legs, enough to gross a whooping $277 million despite a moderate start of $44 million. Meanwhile, The Hangover 2 is standing with its $215 million tally and is the top grossing movie of 2011 so far.

Pirates 4 finally managed to pass $200 million in America and ended up with a $208.4 million in 24 days. Its worldwide business was a different story though, it is on its way to becoming the top grossing movie worldwide behind Avatar and Titanic with its massive $678 million gross so far. It is currently standing at the 6th spot in all time worldwide gross but it will easily move to 4th and surpass Ice Age – Dawn of Dinosaurs and Alice in Wonderland worldwide gross for a 4th place. Its America + Foreign gross is currently $886.8 million and it is on its way to pass the At World’s End if it keeps its pace.

Apple has now launched its new Back To School promotion. It will include a $100 iTunes/App Store Gift Card with every purchase of any Mac included in the promotion.

According to Apple:

“When you buy a new qualifying Mac with Apple education pricing* from June 16, 2011, through September 20, 2011, you’ll get a $100 Back to School Card to use on the Mac App Store, the App Store, the iTunes Store, and the iBookstore.”

To be a part of this promotion you have to be connected to a school or college, as a student, guardian of a student or even a faculty member.

El Jefe has been confirmed as one of the bosses in Sly Cooper 4 Thieves In Time. As shown in the video premiere during E3 2011, Sly was fighting El Jefe in a presumed boss fight. El Jefe uses twin machetes which have lightning and fire powers as shown in the video. The boss fight seemed quite easy but it wasn’t shown in its entirety. Sly Cooper 4 has been kept under wraps over all when it comes to story, the only thing we know is that the pages of the book are disappearing again and Bentley gets the gang back to save the book. Sly Cooper 4 is going to be released in 2012 for the PS3 exclusively.

Sly Cooper 4 is the first game for the PS3. El Jefe is voiced by Nolan North. Sly needs to fire-proof samurai suit to defeat him, as shown in the video and seen in the Cooper Vault. He’s a mercenary commander with a lot of special powers! He’s probably the first boss in the game. Sanzaru has not released any official word about the boss yet or if he will be the first boss but chances do point to it. Sly Cooper 4 is still in its early stages of production so it’s still not safe to say what the publishers are planning for it. Some screenshots of the updated game were released in GDC 2011 which showed the game in a little better form, the graphics were improved greatly and the skin on Sly looked way better! But the textures were still pretty bad for a PS3 game, I mean this is THE Sly title for Sanzaru, they can not afford to mess this up!

Sly Cooper 4, Where’s Carmalita Fox?

Up till now, Carmalita hasn’t made an appearance in Sly Cooper 4 in the videos released by Sanzaru in GDC 2011. I sure do hope they bring her back, there isn’t a Sly game without Carmalita Fox chasing him. Although the story of the game seems kind of familiar to the first game’s story, I still am intrigued to see how this game turns out. Sly Cooper 4 has fans anxious to get their hands on the game, let’s hope it’s worth our expectations.

Ubisoft has just released these brand new screens on the official Assassins Creed Facebook page. These new screens show us some of the multiplayer action as well as an old and aged Ezio.

In one of the screenshot, we can see the player fighting each other with their selected character, their is a female character in the background as well. In the next shot we can see the same female performing a leap of faith which show that we can play as her in the multiplayer mode.

We can also see Ezio discussing something with Yusuf, looks like they are having a friendly chatter. The last screen shows Ezio moving around a burning ship surrounded by fire. See all the screens below

Sly Cooper 4 Thieves In Time is going to have some awesome new features, exclusive to the new release. Apart from the obvious fact that the graphics are going to be off the hook, Sly gets to look hotter and more grown up in this one. Sly Cooper 4 features costumes for the very first time throughout the entire game, Sly gets to use certain outfits obtained throughout the game which are necessary to get through certain parts of the game. As seen in the E3 2011′s video of Sly Cooper 4, Sly uses a samurai costume which is fire proof to protect himself from El Jefe‘s fire!

Sly Cooper 4 also features an Ali-Baba type costume, which Sly can use to slow-down time! This sort of new stuff adds a whole new approach to the world of clever thieving! The game is going to be extremely detailed in terms of visuals and sound. Sanzaru has upped their game since their E3 video which made fans extremely disappointed, this new Sly has it all! He looks older, wiser and a better thief overall. This game should also feature his old ancestors, they should be playable in little flashbacks, but that’s just my idea. The previous parts of the series used his ancestors as huge parts of the game, Sly needed to learn their techniques one by one to become the master thief he is now! Sly Cooper 4 Thieves In Time is going to be no different when it comes to the humorous way of the story and the witty characters!

Sly Cooper 4 – Not SuckerPunch?

I’m a long time Sly fan, since it first came out on the PS2 years ago. Although I own an Xbox360 now, I am more than willing to get a PS3 for this game! It better be worth the wait and hype Sanzaru, I still wish SuckerPunch would get off their Infamous boat and start working on their Sly series again. I don’t think any other studio can do what the original ones can. The magic and essence of Sly has to be ported to this one or it will turn into a waste of a title. It’s coming out in 2012!

It’s been a while since we heard from Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar’s premiere western GTA. Rockstar has announced the release of an upcoming DLC for the game titled Myths & Mavericks which is going to be free to download. It is releasing on September 13th, 2011.

“This completely free Bonus Pack DLC will include new fan-favorite multiplayer characters from the single-player story, as well as new multiplayer locations including Cochinay, Nekoti Rock and Beecher’s Hope, plus new Stronghold games in Armadillo, Tumbleweed, and Chuparosa.”
