  • Jak And Daxter HD Collection Coming Sometime In 2011

Looks like Naughty Dog’s highly successful PS3 exclusive Jak And Dexter might be getting a HD collection. According to Norwegian site PlaystationSpill Justin Richmond of Naughty Dog was asked about Jak And Dexter at an Uncharted 3 Press Conference in Oslo.

He confirmed that an HD collection will be hitting stores sometime in 2012 and will include all three games from the series in their full HD glory. I guess it’s only time that one of the best PS2 franchises gets a remake since developers like Konami and Square Enix have started bringing back their old gems. We do recommend you take this news with a bit of salt until NG confirms this themselves.

  • HTC Sense UI 3.0 Won’t Be Supporting PRE EVO 3D Devices

-insertsadsmileyhere- Yes we know this is sad, HTC just announced from their Twitter that older devices like your HTC Desire HD and Incredible S won’t be getting HTC Sense UI 3.0. HTC said that Sense UI 3.0 is only supported by newer devices like the EVO 3D, Flyer tablet and the recently announced Sensation. All three of these devices have dual core processors leading us to belive that this new Sense must be really hardware intensive.

This is new since I didn’t expect manufacturers themselves to fragmentise their own devices, but our bet is those geniuses over at XDA-Developers would probably sort this out it’s only a matter of time now.

  • ZTE Reveals The Windows Phone Mango Powered ‘Tania’

ZTE is one of the three new Windows Phone OEM’s along with Acer and Fujitsu. The Chinese hardware manufacturer revealed their first Windows Phone Mango handset at the China International Communications Exhibition 2011 named the ‘Tania’.

As you can see above the ZTE Tania looks a lot like the HTC Radar but with a bigger camera, since it’s ZTE we can expect the phone to be pretty cheap and in the same price range as the Radar.

The ZTE Tania has decent specs: a 4.3-inch WVGA display, 1GHz single core processor, 512MB of RAM along with 4GB of on-board storage, 5 Megapixel back camera with a single LED flash but surprisingly no front facing camera and runs on yes, you guessed it Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. Other features include WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS.

  • iPhone 5 To Have A 3.7-inch Edge-To-Edge Display And Metal Back?

Another day another report eh? According to a new report published today the iPhone 5 will have a 3.7-inch edge to edge display which is 0.2-inches bigger than the iPhone 4′s 3.5-inch display. This will be done by thinning down the bezel of the phone.

The guys over had Digitimes had the following to say:

Despite rumors about iPhone 5 featuring a 4.2-inch panel circulating within the IT market for a while, following a leak from Apple’s website in Switzerland in early August, sources from upstream panel suppliers have recently revealed that the iPhone 5′s panel size will still be less than 4-inch.

In addition, iPhone 5′s back design will be changed to a metal chassis instead of reinforced-glasses.

The sources added that the iPhone 5 will adopt a 3.5- to 3.7-inch panel with a design to allow the bezel of the panel to become thinner and make the screen look larger.

This completely nullifies the previous rumor of the iPhone 4 getting a 4.2-inch+ display. With phone screens getting bigger and bigger will Apple be able to make the aforementioned smaller screened iPhone 5 a success? And again folks take the report with a grain of salt.
