Report: ‘NGP will arrive in Europe this year’

The “NGP” is rumored to be released in Europe by the end of this year.
UK trade site MCV reports that “sources” have told them that NGP “development deadlines have been set to ensure key Western releases are finished before the end of the summer for deployment in the autumn.” And if you thought “sources” was vague, try “online leaks” which, according to MCV, ” suggest the console will launch on Friday, November 11th.” That’s awfully specific, no?

Speaking with Engadget, SCEA’s Jack Tretton already said that while Sony’s desire might be for “a worldwide simultaneous launch,” a more realistic goal would be to “get at least one territory out by the end of holiday 2011.” If NGP only came to one territory this year, Japan would be the obvious choice; however, MCV’s sources would indicate otherwise, with the site writing, “third party licensees insist that NGP will arrive in Europe this year.”

Ben made the portable master piece on the request of it’s fatheful followers, although he himself believes most of the games were “FMV nonsense” which we can relate to somehow playing classics like Sewer Sharks. • Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Gets Super-Skinny Tease

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Gets Super-Skinny Tease

Samsung released some teasers regarding it’s new Tab a few weeks ago, Which is expected by many to be the new 8.9 inch Galaxy Tab. Today they released another teaser on their Facebook page featuring the 3.5mm jack and the sexy back. The device seems to be much slimmer than the current Galaxy Tab. The 3.5mm jack has an extra bowling around it which means that the device could prove a decent rival to the iPad 2.

According the picture the official reveal is planned for March 22 in Orlando, Florida. We are expecting a dose of Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) and a dual core (Nvidia Tegra maybe) processor just like the Motorola Xoom.

  • Nintendo Might Be Able To Remotely Brick Your 3DS!

Nintendo Might Be Able To Remotely Brick Your 3DS!

Yeah we all know that the 3DS was hacked on launch (well sort of) but no Nintendo is claiming that if you use a flash cart or try running pirated content through other means the company could send a firmware update your way and brick the system. This is similar to the security measures taken by Sony and Microsoft where they would ban users from their respective networks (PSN and Xbox Live) who play pirated content or become a nuisance but Nintendo is going out for a full on brick. When Nintendo was approached regarding this issue they replied:

“We do not discuss product security details (for obvious reasons), nor can we discuss the details of countermeasures available in the Nintendo 3DS system. Nintendo 3DS has the most up-to-date technology. The security has been designed to protect both the creative works in the software and to protect the Nintendo 3DS hardware system itself.

So we would recommend you guys to not buy any used 3DS’ for the time being until this matter is situated.
