  • 5 Amazing Collectors Editions to look forward to

All these ‘Collectors Editions’, ‘Limited Editions’ and ‘Special Editions’ are created by developers to make the fans love the game a lot more, and to gain more knowledge about the game. At the same time, they are also a way to fish more money out of our wallets. Nonetheless, there is no doubt that some ‘special’ editions are quite worth the extra money. However, one must be careful not to purchase these very often, unless you want to have your wallet drained, or have a large amount of spare cash just lying there.

Here are 5 amazing game editions to look forward to:

    5.  Bioshock Ultimate Rapture Edition

This will include the first and second Bioshock games along with all their DLCs. No pictures or further details have been revealed as yet. This edition is a wonderful opportunity for all those who have not yet tried the Bioshock games. It will surely get you ready for Bioshock: Infinite.

    3.  Assassins Creed III Freedom Edition

Assassins Creed 3 Freedom Edition 570x321 5 Amazing Collectors Editions to look forward to

The Assassin’s Creed 3 ‘Freedom Edition’ may not grant you freedom from everything, but it sure gives you a lot of other things to be ecstatic about. A 24″ figure of Connor, very detailed by the way, unlike most other figures bundled with games. George Washington’s notebook is also included in this edition which will help you discover the secrets of the Assassins and the Templars during the American revolution, hence granting the players access to information that will not be given in the game. And obviously, the edition will provide you with several single-player and multi-player goodies.

    Cost: $125.85

    2. God of War Omega Edition

    1. Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collectors Set

91VoXRHek6L. AA1500 480x480 5 Amazing Collectors Editions to look forward to

Capcom is being real generous this year. This is, by far, the most attractive ‘special edition’ of the year. This set comes with four games: Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition and Street Fighter x Tekken. And the set doesn’t end there. You also get a 8″ Ryu statue, an 11-disc soundtrack that contains all the tracks from all the Street Fighter games, a hardcover book that contains pieces by fans, a documentary, all the Street Fighter anime episodes, the Street Fighter II Animated Movie and movies for Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV. A lot to digest, isn’t it? As for the cherry on top, you get a replica of Ryu’s belt. Now you can be the warrior that you always aspired to be.

    Cost: $149.99

Bonus: Resident Evil 6 Premium Edition

This may be either ridiculous or amazing, depending on how much you love Resident Evil. This edition will include the game, four tablet skins and Leon’s jacket. Seems pretty cheap, right? Well, it’s not. This thing, which is only releasing in Japan, costs roughly $1300. Unless you’re a RE veteran with a lot of cash to spare, I recommend you stay away from this one.

These editions are a source of ecstasy for most gamers. Yes, they might be slightly expensive, but for the hardcore gamer, they’re definitely worth it. So, which one are you buying?

  • Nokia HERE now available on iOS App Store

When iOS 6 was announced, the single biggest feature was the new Apple Maps. Apple had successfully ousted Google from their mobile platform to make way for their new mapping service. Things could not have gone more disastrously in the coming months. Choke full of bugs, incorrect point of interests, embarrassingly bad 3D and what not, it was clear that Apple Maps was nothing but an unmitigated disaster. A disaster that will take some time to be fixed.

This gives way to other mapping services to make their mark. We’re already aware that Google is working on their maps app. But today Nokia has unveiled theirs. Conveniently named HERE, this new app brings Nokia’s expertise to iOS. Powered by Navteq, it offers cool new features such as Facebook integration, turn-by-turn directions, the ability to save maps for later, transit directions etc. In addition to this Nokia HERE also offers step-by-step voice-guided walk navigation and public transportation and driving directions. Nokia HERE will also let you download maps for a particular geographical location for offline viewing.

Nokia HERE is available in the iOS App Store for a price of ‘free’. Now the wait continues for Google to brings its prowess back to iOS.

It’s that time of the year again. E3 is just around the corner and we all know what to expect. But all of us have a wishlist and here are the Top 5 things we want at E3.

    5. The Next Zelda

zelda wii u1 720x405 Top 5 Things We Want From E3

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword received perfect scores from over 30 publications and amazing reviews and scores from others. With gamers on high alert with the features of the Wii U, a new Zelda game for the console would be the cherry on the cake. Sure it’s a long shot and it’s only a while since the previous one came out but we expect Nintendo to unveil a new Zelda game for the fans and maybe it’ll be for the Wii U.

    4. Alan Wake Sequel

    alanwakean1 1 Top 5 Things We Want From E3

We all got spooked, thrilled and loved Alan Wake for it’s amazing gameplay, characters and storyline and it did leave us hanging on the cliff at the end of the game. Everyone who has played Alan Wake have been craving for a sequel and since E3 is just around the corner most of us will be surprised to find out that there’s an Alan Wake sequel. With the lead writer of Alan Wake, Remedy’s Sam Lake tweeting “It’s all true. ‘It will happen again, in another town, a town called Ordinary.’ It’s happening now”. A sequel to Alan Wake may be on the cards sooner rather than later.

    3. Killzone 4

Killzone 3 Top 5 Things We Want From E3

Most of you who have played Killzone 3 would have seen the after credits seen where two surviving Hazmat soldiers from Stahl Arms. The Stahl soldiers address the individual as ‘sir’ as they welcome him back to Helghan. Post-Credits scenes always indicate a sequel and rarely has it been otherwise. It can be assumed the sequel will most likely take place a long time after the events of Killzone 3 since the surviving population would need to replenish their loses. If there is a Killzone 4, the losses the Helghast have suffered will positively cause a riot or rebellion to the senate.

    2. Agent

Agent PS3 Top 5 Things We Want From E3

In July 2007, Sony had announced that Rockstar was working on a new franchise for the PlayStation 3. The Details of the project, which included it’s title, were not announced until June 2009 during the Sony press conference at E3. So after almost 5 long years of working on this project can we expect a possible teaser at E3? We sure can. Announcing this game may delay the release of the highly anticipated “Grand Theft Auto V” but for a game that has been in development since 2007 deserves to be released now. Unless Rockstar is going for total perfection, which they are usually good at, Agent will be something most gamers would love to see at E3.

    1. Xbox [720?]

Xbox Loop Top 5 Things We Want From E3

Possibly what all gamers want to see this year at E3 is the console for next generation gaming. Going by it’s codename Durango or it’s widely popular name, the Xbox 720 is the most anticipated and hopeful announcement that fans want Microsoft to make. An extreme possibility considering the number of rumors that have been coming out over the past few months, The Xbox 720 is something most of was would want to see. After all the boring Microsoft E3 presentations over the past couple of years maybe this time they can add some flair and drive the fans crazy. Come on Microsoft! You know what we want!

Some of these may seem like a long shot. Some may not. But let’s just hope the respective companies do actually reveal one of our items on the wish list. Gamers all over are expecting one of these items to turn into reality, keeping our fingers crossed is all we can do right now. E3 2012 is sure to have a lot of surprises for us. Let’s hope it’s a big one.
