If you’ve been tied to the Apple ecosystem prior to 2012 you’d be aware of the cloud storage service by the name of MobileMe. It was a service Apple offered to its Mac OS users. While the idea behind MobileMe was noble, the implementation left a lot to be desired and as a result MobileMe service was shut down and was replaced with iCloud, a new and improved cloud storage service from Apple as part of OSX Lion.
As a gesture of goodwill, or perhaps to avoid lawsuits, Apple offered complimentary iCloud storage for MobileMe users who were transitioning to the new service. It was a complimentary iCloud storage for MobileMe users beyond the standard 5GB that comes with an iCloud account to help users with the transition. Originally this offer stood for 1 year only, but now Apple has extended this complimentary iCloud storage for MobileMe users for another year till September 30th 2013. This complimentary iCloud storage for MobileMe users depends on what package plan they had on their MobileMe account.
No action is required on part of the user, just continue on using it till the expiry date next year. For more details regarding this offer visit the support page on Apple’s website.
