The highly anticipated PC game, Diablo 3 is finally here. However, a bug was soon discovered right after the release. According to reports on the Diablo 3 forums, an error message 3006 is displayed if a shield is traded with a Templar follower.
This bug causes your account to desync with the server and locks you out. In fact, it may render you unable to log back into Battle.net.
Blizzard says that it’s looking into the issue, so they will (hopefully) fix it soon. For now, Blizzard has advised players to stay away from the Templar until the problem is solved. Reports on forums indicate that the issue is somehow linked to the Demon Hunter class. Therefore, if you’ve taken the Demon Hunter, keep your gear to yourself for now.
Blizzard also asked players to be patient after the servers crippled as a large number of players rushed to activate their copies online.
