Entourage Season 8 Episode 1: Home Sweet Home

It’s been one long year since I’ve seen the crew back together. Entourage is sadly at its last season, season 8. While there are a few million fans out there who’d disagree on the show ending, I don’t think they could’ve gotten any bigger than they already are. Season 7 ended with a highly disappointing and weak story, porn stars and cocaine being the highlight of the season. I had high hopes for the last season, and the first episode starts off with a safe and awesome start. Spoiler alert!

So Vince is finally out of rehab and is completely sober. They’ve brought back the old Vince, the one we used to love from the Season 2 days. Ari Gold and Mrs. Ari have separated and while Ari still tries to get her back, she breaks it even worse by telling him she’s seeing someone. Johnny Drama is busy at work on his new TV show “Johnny’s Bananas” with comedian Andrew Dice Clay (playing himself) as a stuck-up washed out old actor who needs money and fame again!  E and Sloan broke off too, but E and Lavin made their own company “Murphy Lavin” which is pretty awesome (love the logo too).  Turtle, looking as thin as ever, is having trouble communicating with his girlfriend who’s off on a publicity tour for Avion.

The highlight of the episode was Johnny trying his hardest to keep the house alcohol-free for Vince’s return. Vince presents the group with a movie idea, which everyone hated and were too scared to tell him if it would hurt his feelings and bring him back to his sniffing days again. In the end, Vince sets everything straight, while Turtle manages to get the house on fire. The episode ends with Ari in tears because of his wife and Eminem’s “Till I Collapse” hits the credits. An awesome start to an amazing last season!
