Apple Investigating 3G Issues With The Verizon iPad 2s

Verizon iPad 2 owners have been complaining over various forums that they have been facing difficulty connecting to Verizon’s 3G network.

Wi-Fi functions work well enough, but 3G connections either take several minutes or never occur at all. While there’s no clear evidence that all Verizon iPad 2 users face the same problem, the complaints coming in from those affected are very similar. When theVerizon iPad 2′s 3G function is deactivated, it will not reactivate or connect without a reboot. Switching the device in and out airplane mode has no effect.

As said by a furious Verizon customer. If you’re too impatient to wait for a software fix try the following:

    • Turn the cellular data switch to on.
    • Power off the iPad.
    • Power up the iPad.
    • Turn on cellular data. Data switch is already on.
    • The Verizon service turns on and connects properly.

The iPad 2 Is Finally Here!

Coming straight from Apple’s keynote the iPad 2 is finally here and boy is it one heck of an upgrade. The cosmetic differences are a few and are as follows: It’s 33% thinner than the 1st generation iPad and boasts some mean looking speaker grills at the bottom. The iPad 2 also features a front facing VGA camera and a 720p 30fps video camera on the back which would come in handy for Facetime. The device also got a new CPU; the 1Ghz A5 dual core chip promises double the performance while the new GPU offers a 9x performance upgrade. The screen is the same; a 10.1 inch 1024×768 IPS display. The rumors promised a thunderbolt connector just like the one on the new MacBook Pros but instead we got a HDMI port which is capable of 1080p output.  The prices are same as the original iPad (iPad 1 just got a price drop) starting at $499 for the Wi-Fi only iPad and going up to $829 for a 3G + Wi-Fi model with 64gb storage.

GeoHot left for South America! Not In USA Anymore

GeoHot left for South America! Not In USA Anymore

George Hotz, better known as GeoHot, is famous for being the first person to hack the iPhone and come out with its jailbreak. Well he is also well known for hacking the Sony Playstation 3 console and breaking the system’s security to enable third party applications and hacks to run on the device without any restrictions. Which this meant for the giant corporation was more piracy on the way as people could very easily install pirated games(which are originally for 50 bucks a piece) and play them on their consoles.

A war has been going on between Sony and GeoHot and Sony seems to be #WINNING. George Hotz is in deep shit with the DMCA, as far as the phone was concerned it wasn’t that big of a deal, people were still gonna buy iPhones and MORE people were developing apps for it. But this hack is lethal for Sony and third party game publishers alike, the games which originally sell for over 60 bucks are now being pirated.

As of today it was reported that GeoHot left USA and is currently in South America. This ensued when the court asked him to hand over his hard disk and everything along with it, he did get paid to hack those devices, the people behind this are still unknown. Let’s see where this story takes GeoHot.

Samsung Hercules Information And Specifications Leaked!

Looks like Samsung is working on a spiritual successor to both the Samsung Galaxy S II and the AT&T exclusive Samsung Infuse 4G. The Samsung Hercules which it is said to be called shall have the form factor of the infuse and internals similar to the Galaxy S II.

According to the leak by thisismynext the Samsung Hercules will sport a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED plus display with a respectful 800 x 480 resolution we just shocked at why Samsung isn’t considering qHD for it’s upcoming phones like HTC and Motorola are. The phone is powered by Qualcomm 1.2 GHz dual core APQ 8060 processor, has 16GB of inbuilt memory along with 1GB of RAM. There’s also NFC and HSPA+ support. The phone will be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has the dimensions of 5.16 x 2.76 x 0.37 inches which is almost the same as the Infuse 4G. The camera will be an 8 megapixel sensor with 1080p video capture and continuous autofocus.
