Finally, after being in Beta for over four months iOS 5 GM is finally here and available for download directly from Apple. Direct links from Apple are available at the end of this post.
iOS 5 is the latest major update for Apple’s highly acclaimed mobile operating system. iOS 5 features more than 200 new features including Apple’s iCloud service, the new notification center and iMesseges. iOS is compatible with the recently announced iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad, iPad 2, iPod touch 3G and the iPod touch 4G. Apple also released iTunes 10.5 which you will need if you plan to sync and iOS 5 device with your PC or Mac and seeded iTunes 10.5.1 Beta 1 to their developers channel yesterday.
