Silent Hill HD Collection Will Remain PS3 Exclusive, For Limited Time Only
Konami recently announced a couple of HD remake projects which featured Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Zone of the Enders HD Collection and lastly Silent Hill HD Collection which will have Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 remade in HD resolution included with trophy support and an all new voice acting.
Sadly the Xbox 360 guys have to wait for some time as the Silent Hill HD Collection is initially planned as an exclusive to the PS3. Although it will remain as an exclusive, Konami has plans to bring it to other platforms like Xbox 360 and maybe PC.
Silent Hill 2 and 3 are regarded as the best entries in the series especially Silent Hill 2. It featured the series icon Pyramid Head which become a cult classic while Silent Hill 3 continued the story of the original Silent Hill 1 of PS1.
Silent Hill producer Tom Hulett stated the reason why they made it exclusive to PS3. He simply said that since Silent Hill was primarily a Sony platform series they have decided it for PS3 only for now although it could be later ported on other platforms as well.
